It's a cable. It works. As far as compatible, the previous reviewer obviously didn't know what he was talking about. This cable will connect a 3.0 peripheral to any USB host. The device end is not what makes it compatible, it's the host end.

Short and sweet

This USB extension is connected to my mouse USB. So that when they walk into it they will hit the extension instead of obliterating my mouse USB. It's very durable. the USB stays connected to the components unless someone yanks it out.

I had some old charger cables that I've had for years and it seems like my devices were starting to have issues charging and before trying to mess with my phone and tablet I decided to get new chargers and cords to see if they were going bad. I travel a lot and my cords are always getting wrapped up and banged up so it wouldn't surprise me after years if they were worn out underneath their nylon and plastic covers. These were a great replacement. They feel sturdy. They connected to my devices and chargers and work really well. I haven't had issues charging my phone or tablet since getting these and I think it was time for a much needed replacement. These are exactly as described and a really good replacement for my old cords. I hope these last just as long.
