Inexpensive and it works. If the front USB ports on your case are 3.0 but your mobo only has USB 2.0 headers, this is the item to buy. As other have pointed out, obviously speed will be 2.0, but at least the ports will function.

Works well, charges my Pixel 2 in regular speed (because I don't have a non-TYPE C 3amp charger). If you need to rapid charge your Nexus 5X/Google Pixel 2 devices, you need to have that 3A TYPE-A port if using this cable. Usually, 3A ports are TYPE-C ports. I rarely see a regular TYPE-A that can export 3A. But this cable does transfer data in gen 2 speed. If you have a TYPE-A 3.1 gen 2 port on your PC, this can maximize your external SSD's speed.

I had some old charger cables that I've had for years and it seems like my devices were starting to have issues charging and before trying to mess with my phone and tablet I decided to get new chargers and cords to see if they were going bad. I travel a lot and my cords are always getting wrapped up and banged up so it wouldn't surprise me after years if they were worn out underneath their nylon and plastic covers. These were a great replacement. They feel sturdy. They connected to my devices and chargers and work really well. I haven't had issues charging my phone or tablet since getting these and I think it was time for a much needed replacement. These are exactly as described and a really good replacement for my old cords. I hope these last just as long.
