I want a pc that can run most games on high or medium settings.
Just something to consider: your budget may end up being the biggest limiting factor. Unfortunately, in today’s market, around $800 often buys a prebuilt with older or fairly underpowered components🙁. A year or two ago, that budget stretched a lot farther than it does today. It’ll run lighter games like Fortnite, Minecraft, Valorant, or Rocket League just fine, but if your goal is to play most modern AAA games at medium to high settings, that’s probably asking too much from an $800 prebuilt.
If $800 is a hard limit, I’d honestly consider a PlayStation or Xbox instead—they’ll generally give you better gaming performance for the money. If you’re set on a PC, I’d recommend saving a little longer and aiming for the $1,100–$1,200 range. That opens the door to much better hardware that will last several years and provide the experience you’re looking for. Building your own PC can stretch your budget a bit further than buying a prebuilt, but even then, I think you’d be happier if you could save a few hundred dollars more before making the purchase.
Of course this is only my opinion but I think you might be severely disappointed with a PC in that price range.
** If you do decide to save a few more dollars maybe even the upcoming steam machine would be a good option for you**
What does “most games” mean to you?
$800 could likely get you a used PC that would run Minecraft and Fortnite, but you won’t be playing Cyberpunk 2077 or Black Myth: Wukong at high settings on an $800 prebuilt.
Welcome them to Community!
Best I could do with current prices! but beats Steam deck in performance!
This will do what you asked but also depends what resolution you play at on your monitor or TV
@ 1920X1080 this will play the top 100 most popular games @ 60FPS with medium settings or better for $1,191.91

I want to be able to play Minecraft with vibrant visuals and Fortnite, at least on high or medium settings honestly that should be good for most other games I play, I don’t really care about newer games all that much
I would try a site like JAWA. There are alot of used PC for sale and many smaller value level builders selling PC’s
what’s nice about this one it’s got a Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac MB so in a year or so you could drop in a 5700X3D and a GPU upgrade if you want.
