Help with Building a PC

Hey community, this is my first post here, I wanted to come to ask for any tips and suggestion for building this pc for my girlfriend. I generally understand pc building, watching 100s of videos but I’m still a little nervous on having something fully right, and I don’t want to buy something not worth it.

My budget is going to be 700/750 dollars. No more than 750 unless it’s like negligible like a few bucks

I want an and cpu as I see they are out performing intel but for this price I’m open to anything really, I’m okay with an amd cpu and intel gpu or whatever combo is out there as long as it has a decent upgrade path. I want it to crush 1080p gaming so high to ultra settings most games, and in particular, inZoi I want it to run at high/ultra settings atleast 65fps. Let me know if it’s possible, I’ll check back in a few days and hopefully it’s possible. Thank you guys

I already have the monitor and keyboard and mouse so this build should include everything strictly for the pc

I have a potential build for you, but you might not like it.

I personally, can not do a build for your price range. I can find compatible parts all day but I have my own standards from brands. i do have preferences for brands, but i leave that out and rather, certain brands set the standards of which I hold others too.

I can substitute other parts in for slightly less values but I these parts are what I would do.

  • CPU : I chose a middle of the road CPU within the AM5 platform I think has enough power for the next couple years.
  • Heatsink : I havent known Ryzen 5 CPUs to generate much hear and I have a uptake in Thermalights Assassin series take off. I personally prefer AIO’s but I can argue the use for fan cooling.
  • Motherboard : My preference is Asus and MSI for boards. I have used gigabyte boards before and while its still working today, I can it has thermal and power delivery issues. This selection has some bias only in the brand.
It might be an old way of thinking, but I was taught Bxxx boards were cut down versions of Xxxx boards. I know they have come to be a lot more similar, but I still have the preference for X boards. if you wish to go B850 for $100 less, I think you will do just fine.
  • Memory : Its 2025… 32gb should be the standard for gamers. Games might not utilize more than 12gb so 16Gb should be fine, but we arent just running a game in the background. we have spotify, discord, wall paper engine, anti cheat software, regular anti cheat software, youtube/web browsers. Memory does not increase FPS, it increases the response time of a application. Why G.Skill? Preference. I think they are the defining standard for memory, but Silicon Power, Kingston, Crucial, Corsair, even patriot and adata work. Teamgroup is an up and comer and many have loved the brand and have no issues.
  • Storage : 1TB M.2. is kind of the go to standard these days for PCs. Some will argue for 2tb and I agree, more is better, but my personal preference for build is 500-1tb m.2 that i only use for OS and updates. I put all games, videos, music, and generally, my whole file system on other drives. I would do 1TB for OS and or File system and do a second drive for games, could be another M.2, Could be an SSD. The choice is yours. I chose Samsung cause its generally the best drive makers, but I am a huge fan of Western Digital, but Crucial, Silicon Power and Kingston have been in the game for a long time and they shouldnt be overlooked.
  • GPU : 5060 is the newest generation and I think itll have the best cost of ownership in terms of how long it last and how much its resale value will be. Why Asus? Because EVGA was not an option. I like asus products and decided to make the build all the same parts and colors. Gigabyte and MSI are also good cards. PNY and ZOTAC? ive heard a lot of problems with them, but I have also heard great things about them so I put them in the middle of the road.
  • Case : I chose a decent looking build for a decent. The white version was cheaper than black so thats why its in there but I just threw it in to generate a field for you. thermaltake, cougar, phanteks, corsair, lian li ( my favorite right now ) and fractal design are general good. do look t reviews beforehand to see how they handle thermals.
  • Power Supply : I have a huge prefer for EVGA power Supplies. They always produce high quality products. I never have issues and they have long warranties and great customer service. I chose super flower ( not just cause EVGA G series wasnt available for the price ) because they are the part manufactures for EVGA. So its the same products for a different price, essentially. I havent used them personally, but I hear nothing but god reviews.

Sorry if this isnt the information you wanted to hear, but a pre-built might be the only way you can get a PC for your budget, but its upgrade path will be limited.

I hope this information helps.

I don’t think you’ll get Inzoi to run at the settings you want on a $700 computer unfortunately. The specs for medium settings requires a 7800x3d and that’s your half your budget right there. then you’ll probably need a 9070 XT at the minimum. that’s $600 alone. even if you can find a used 6800 XT they’re going for at least $300 right there. You’re more looking at a 9060 XT 16 GB just to run medium settings.
Unfortunately, it’s a pretty demanding game🫤
here’s the system requirements

Here’s a 7600x with 5060 for right under $750 not counting tax or shipping comes with $10 rebate

Very nice budget build. It looks like it will run the game just fine.
It is worth noting you are missing the memory, and that the selected PSU has almost no upgrade path. i think all of those parts are just at 550w.

I thank all you for helping me out as much as you could, I see the specs are super hard to achieve, at the price point it’s more like 1080p medium so I’ll take your advice and see if maybe saving an extra 100 can help, stay tuned

I think this is realistically what you’re looking at. just does not include sales or combo deals. since you’re not buying right now it’s hard to say on a firm price. But it will give you a guide for the kind of performance you are seeking. While I haven’t played much I do own Inzoi and this is a similar set up to mine and it looks very good on the screen. I run it on a 2K monitor so 1080p should be just fine.

like I said before, you probably could build this machine for cheaper, but you’re gonna have to really look for deals when you’re ready to really buy. You could go with a 9800x3d but in reality there’s not much difference from a 7800x3d. You’ll save about $100 as of now, not sure about the future. I apologize for the sticker shock.

That setup will have a about 6% bottleneck at 1080P which isn’t too bad. Usually you want less then %5 Good news is it will be ready for 2k gaming
MSI has a deal if you buy a motherboard they give you a discount on CPU 7800X3D $300 9800X3D $400

Also the 9070 XT most require 800W PSU or better I’ve only seen one requiring 750W
9070 XT is over a 300W card I’d play it safe & go with 800W or 850W also it’s future proofing if you want upgrade a few years down the line
