Meet The Players
Ben
Ben is an experienced host and gamer at Newegg. He spends way too much time gaming, and may have an advantage because of it. He enjoys long walks on the beach and the sweet taste of victory, which he got once before in The Gamer Lounge.
Izzy
Izzy is a tried-and-true gamer, mostly focusing on horror games on her Twitch stream. Izzy is still seeking her first victory in The Gamer Lounge, and if you couldn’t tell by the amount of bleeping we had to use, she’s also very competitive at all times.
Jeremy
Jeremy is an experienced Call of Duty player, who is now answering a different call: the chance to become a winner in The Gamer Lounge. If his FPS skills weren’t already an advantage, he’s also significantly taller than his competitors.
Tori
Tori has a versatile skillset in the Gamer Lounge, having a wide range of frequently played games. She’s also experienced playing under the bright lights with an audience watching for years, so expect calm and collected gameplay… most of the time.
This Week
Our gamers will be taking on a round of Capture the Flag in Halo 5. They’ll be playing 1-on-2 with two gamers playing against them. The first player to successfully bring the flag back to their base will be declared the winner.
Our gamers will be setting sail on the high seas looking for treasure. They’ll be assisted by Discount Newegg Pirate, Niko, who is an experienced Sea of Thiever. He’ll be able to help in their quest, though our gamers will have to make all key decisions and deliver all treasure themselves. The player with the most gold after 30 minutes wins.
Our gamers will be attempting the Full Inventory Speed-Run. They’ll have to collect a full inventory of 36 unique items as quickly as possible. They’ll play with no mods on a random seed glitchless run. Fastest to collect all 36 items wins.
Our gamers will be playing a race in all 3 previously played games, where their combined times will determine their finale score. First, they’ll be taking on a custom map, Pipe Dreams, in Halo 5. Then, they’ll be racing around a procedurally generated island with no assistance in Sea of Thieves. Finally, they’ll be playing through the Grid Runners gold level in Minecraft. After each round, the player currently in the lead must play the next course first. The players will not know their time until the end, but will know after each game who is currently in the lead. The player who completes all 3 challenges in the quickest time wins.
And if YOU watching at home predicts which of these three gamers wins in the finale… YOU could be entered to win an XBOX Series S with 12 Months of Game Pass. 5 lucky viewers will be winning Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions, with one of these lucky viewers also winning an XBOX Series S as our grand prize.
However! In order to win, you must correctly predict who wins the finale. Be sure to tune in all week to see which gamer will earn your pick.
