I believe they are refurbished. I've only been running them for about 2 weeks now and there is no way I've racked up the hour usage being reported.

Can you please tell something about the noise level?

I have the drive mounted with a noise-suppression setup inside a Be Quiet! Dark Base 700 case.  When sitting on top of a table, you can physically feel the drive start to seek.  It's quite unnerving after years of using whisper quiet SATA hard drives.  Reminds me of my Quantum Bigfoot 5.25" drives from last century, the noise and the physical vibration during seeking.

If you for some reason see something different, then maybe something is wrong on your end.  Did you make sure you had the 14TB drive selected under "Capacity"?
