No. You must provide the SATA cable.

If this is somewhat enclosed in my case (between the back of the motherboard and the side of the PC case), will there be any heat buildup issues?

I think my case is of similar design. The drives are in a cavity between the right-side cover of the case and the wall the motherboard is mounted on with no forced air (fan) ventilation. I have not experienced any heat related, or any other, issues with this drive.

what is needed to install in computer?

You need a SATA port on your motherboard (there is usually a vacant one available) and SATA cable (available for cheap on Newegg). You will also need a SATA power connector (there is usually a vacant one available). Good luck ;>)
