In my mind, the whole product is a "pro". But, a few details on the product: 1. The in-cap fan is great & prevents heat buildup during prolonged use. You can separately toggle the fan on-off with a push button. I haven't opened the cap up, but I think it's basically an off-the shelf in-computer-case fan so I'm sure you could swap it out if it eventually dies on you. 2. So far no problems at all with the thing dismounting/disconnecting from my laptop. Super nice to see because I have had horrible experiences with USB enclosure hardware. 3. Data transfer rate is also fine and raises no red flags. I haven't done any perf testing, just commenting that on regular use I'm getting 100-200 MB/sec so at that point if you're using a USB enclosure, you better not be complaining ;-) 4. Size. Thank Heaven there was ONE enclosure out there that didn't support BOTH 2.5" and 3.5" hard disks. All of those are considerably larger than this. So yeah, you won't be putting 3.5" drives in this thing, which is something I personally viewed as a "plus". YMMV.

Appears to work fine for holding a drive I use in a zfs mirror

Inexpensive, adapters provided, works with both Mac and windows

- DisplayPort supports 2k 165hz + GSYNC - Ethernet port is full 1gbps - Thunderbolt cable is longer than I expected - When plugging in everything sets up in a couple of seconds, pretty fast (maybe it's the computer though)

I'm an IT Security Professional. The Plugable Thunderbolt 4 docking station resolved my disconnection issues. My previous docking station was HP Thunderbolt Dock 1203 G2 was causing random connectivity issues where I would lose ethernet connectivity.
