I simply had too many USB devices for my Windows 10, i7-core, Aorus Z390 Master Mobo PC to have reliable USB device stability. The switch has buttons that enable and disable the usb devices; meaning, that you can keep usb devices connected physically with the cables but they do not need to be "on" all the time, and to turn them on it's just a press of a button on the switch. I used this switch to take off several usb devices that i only used seldomly, doing this completely fixed my instability problems for the USB devices that i absolutely needed to be online at all times.

Combo USB-2, USB-3, and USB-C (at USB-3 speeds). Mounting holes on bottom of tray allow for mounting 2,5" drive and connecting to the board thru the supplied adapter. I'm not using that feature because I haven't run out of SATA connectors, but if you needed it it's there. Even though the USB-C is not native and runs at USB-3 speeds, it's nice to have the capability to connect a USB-C device.

- Has every port I need, including USB-A and USB-C ports. - Ports are spaced out nicely so that everything fits. (I have another adapter that packs them too closely, so I can't use the USB-A and HDMI ports next to each other.) - It's no bigger than it needs to be, given all the ports. It opts to arrange ports on both sides, rather than put them all on one side and increase the size.

I have 5 connections plugged in at the moment: keyboard, mouse, outboard SSD, both a 2.0 and 3.0 USB. All okay.

- Gives you 3 extra USB 3.0 ports - HDMI outlet for connecting to monitors/TVs - SD card and MicroSD card reader - Power passthrough so you can continue charging - Gold USB-C connection plug (not pictured) - Solid feel - Thick connector cable*

Seven ports Switches to control power to each port

I recently bought a system from newegg. It had three USB sockets on the bottom. Not enough and a little low for where I mounted my system. I double-sided stuck this USB hub to the side of my desk. Perfect! Then I found out that the USB sockets stay active even when the system power is off. Having each new USB port switched on-off is great! I have five USB devices plugged in, but I only switch-on the one I'm using! Perfect plus!!! (my cell phone and all my other USB components say Thank You)

Second one. Perfect size for add-on ports. Works great with laptop and desktop. Pwr light is neat addition.
