* perfectly makes use of the only PCIe 2.0 x1 slot on my older motherboard * super fast network speeds
- Just plug and play in Windows 11 Pro. - I received 2 Card TX401, and both work like a charm. - Big upgrade on my local network, on a 10 G Switch. - Again, rock solid, good heat sink size, should be reliable for years... - It's Rj-45 , so no need to upgrade for fiber... for now. - Never had a problem with TP-Link to be honest.
I've used several of these without problems.
Plug and play!
The ethernet port on my motherboard died. No problem, I have an old spare network card. Uh oh, the motherboard only has PCIe slots. So I ordered this and it was delivered shortly after. Installed it, started the computer, and off we go. I didn't have to install a driver, thanks Windows 11.
- Intel card works with every device NIC I have with no issues - Worked at 1, 2.5 and 10GB for me with no issues - two ports - Can team depending on the OS
Eggcellent! See full story/stats below, but these are exactly what I needed. - Recognized automatically by Windows 7 32-bit (no configuration necessary; however don't forget to enable jumbo frames for max performance) - 0% packet loss (tested using flood ping with 4096 packet size)
10gbps (well maybe ~5gbps depending on the setup)
There are no real gotcha's with this card. It installs as easily as any other PCIe card. It is compatible with NAS4Free and I will be testing it with VMWare's ESXi also.
Doubled my download speed in an inexpensive and easy to install card.
In contrast to other reviews I figured I had to add that this adapter does work well with Copper Twinaxial cables, Cisco included. I have one of these adapters in a storage server I built using iSCSI as the protocol. This adapter hooked up seamlessly with a Cisco Twinaxial cable to a Cisco 2960-S (certain models of the 2960-S have 2x 10-Gigabit SFP+ modules.) that particular server now acts as a SAN in my network, jumbo frames fully supported and doesn't show the slightest sign of slowing. The Cisco Twinaxial cable combined with this adapter gives the benefit of significantly lower latency than its Cat-6 ethernet relative and provides outstanding results in my setup.
Superfast, well packaged, comes with both standard and low-profile brackets.
Works with the "UF-MM-10G Multi-Mode Fiber, 10 Gbps SFP+" and the Ubiquiti switch. 10x faster than 1G. Works with linux.
