- Perfect for a low power home server, I replaced 3x i7's with this, all of which consumed 85W each and have less threads combined than this Xeon - Runs extremely cool and quiet with Noctua cooler, have not seen it over 40 degrees since installing it

Low power (for a Xeon) and easy to cool Currently at a price/performance sweet spot for server CPUs.

10 cores, 20 threads, 2.2ghz to 3.0ghz turbo. Stays at 2.6ghz most of the time. AMAZING Processor. Have 2 of these in a massive super workstation. 3x faster render times in 3ds Max. Cinebench score of 2286! Have to go up 3k more for the highest score recorded so far, which is 2600. Highly Recommended for workstation use such as 3D animation, modeling, AE, Premiere, etc.

Great processor, very fast and has 6 cores. Is capable of running 2 in parallel, which means a total of 12 cores. Supports a very large amount of memory, as well, which is probably important if you are going with something this powerful. Does a great job, though 2 are probably overkill for most setups.
