All 8 ports are POE Have increased speed from older Gigabit units.
This is one of those products that either works or doesn't, but with a few other factors to consider. 5 YEAR warranty !! This is a business class unit. I really like the metal case (shell). Very sturdy. In my testing, I took this on a business trip and had several machines networked and it worked great. I had it running 24/7 for 7 days, no problems. It runs very cool (low temperature), and the metal shell means it travels well and could even be stepped on with no harm. Network speeds were great on a gigabit network. It also has mounting slots (for screws) on the the back in case you want to wall mount (hang) it, which is nice too. Cable attachments seemed easy and solid to plug/unplug, and no wiggle or other issues. Overall feel like top quality construction.
I work in information technology, and sometimes configure larger managed switches. When I read the specifications for this switch and then the price, I don't think I've ever impulse bought a network device faster, and I don't regret it. It does everything it says it does in the manual, is inexpensive, fanless, and has a great, sturdy iron case with notches for wall mounting using the included screws and wall anchors. Apart from the very solid build quality an iron case imparts, the extra weight is incredibly helpful to keep the device firmly planted where you put it when you have Ethernet cables hanging from all of the ports.
Verry small Feel durable Metallic
Great switch/es. I have 3- TL-SG108s in my home network and everything runs so much faster and smoother. Jumbo frames, MAC table, buffer, 2GB- 1GB up/ 1 GB down stream per port, 8 ports- 16 GB max throughput and some power savings to boot. Metal case, easy mounting. What's not to like?
UniFi compatible and suited to the kinds of awful environmental conditions the old Ubiquiti Tough Switch Pro was perfect for. Being managed by UniFi rather than UISP simplifies the network, so it's GREAT to have this niche filled. Surprisingly useful to have more ports, didn't know we needed them until we had the option.
Fast performance and PoE+/++ out of the box! Small footprint and overall a performance beast for my network
Small, inexpensive, simple setup
The switch has a very heavy and quality feel to it. POE+ works great with my cameras, and wireless access points.
* Nice compact form factor * Included power adapter option is nice * Even nicer is being able to power it off PoE - one less wire/plug socket to deal with * Integrates well with the UniFi Network app, showing what devices are connected to it
Works as advertised and had no issues with autonegotiating speeds on interfaces with Google Fiber's provided equipment (an issue I had read about in reviews for other boxes which I was concerned about). Get full speed.
-Whisper quite -Many Features -Web GUI or phone app to manage it -You have to know what your doing or at least read the manual.
40 POE+ and 8 POE++ ports 4 10Gib SPF+ ports Layer 3 features Quiet fans
Small, easy to use, no setup required, just plug and play.
Although I've only had this for a couple days, I can report setup was a breeze. It does take a bit to understand things are defined, but if you read through the manual, the information is there, if terse. Once you get the hang of it, VLANs using /q are a easy to define. Haven't dug into qos, link aggregation or mirroring, but the setup seems simple enough. They are just not part of my use case. At this price point there is no competition. Except perhaps m*krotik.
- $20 after MIB: that's insanely hard to beat - Compact design, no extra casing bulk - Lifetime warranty!
