This UPS has been great. I purchased it from Newegg back in 2003 and it's been running every day since. The original batteries lasted a very long time. It doesn't overcharge and fry them like every APC I've had the misfortune of working with. Software for Linux is provided, so you can control it via command line. Batteries are changed through the front panel, and doesn't require shutting it off. This is good for an environment where uptime is important. It can be switched on without an AC supply, unlike many others I've worked with, which required shorting of the plug in some way. It will also run and charge from a modified-sine inverter.
I have the older APC SMC1500 and it has improvements. I like that this has more time when power is shut off. The APC SMT1500 C can handle heavier loads and the menu status screen is better even though it still has the same size screen.
- LCD informational screen - USB charging port - Nice, low profile design
Able to run my gaming computer at max potential with my monitor for 3 minutes or more, enough to withstand a electric blink.
Just what I wanted! Quality product and a great look. No problems with the software install in Vista x64. Handles my 32" LCD, two LCD monitors, computer, THX 6-speaker system, HP 7280 AIO printer, wireless router, crapola, something else too--all with ease. What else can I say--it works! Have not tried the battery accuracy real-world test.
relatively small for a 2200VA UPS, expandable (with optional battery pack), switchable plugs through serial or USB connected dedicated host.
This thing has severed my glory for years and would recommend it. Being a computer technician, i know what i want and what i need and this device fits multiple uses for various equipment.
3 of these support 3 PC systems running multiple operations simultaneously and driving 4, 30" monitor each. Easy to set up and put into operation
Stable, high performance rack mountable unit. Lives up to the specs. Easy to manage with provided software.
Many things in menu, runs silent most of the time
Replacer an 850 watt unit for more reserve power and even ran my vacuum from it by accident.
Silent! My last UPS (Tripplite) could be heard two rooms away. Can't hear this one sitting right next to it. It's really stable when used in tower orientation due to the battery being in the bottom. Construction is really solid.
Have a few of these on different systems, never a glitch. Best bang for the buck by far, if your looking for a great value.
