Big Best bang for buck value Quiet. I've read reviews whining about noisy hard drives in NAS boxes. My NAS is currently on my desk. I can hear the drive working but they are not loud.

- 6TB of storage should accommodate most homes or small businesses. Replacing the stock 1TB drive in my system I'm now able to record weeks, instead of days, off 4 camera at 1080p running 24/7. Tweaking motion capture settings drives this near a month. - This drive is a just meant to be a write horse. And it does exactly that. I've had this for a few weeks and it just works. Quiet, cool, no problems. - Not specifically for this drive, but the model itself: The WD Purple Drives come in a lot of sizes. I'll touch on this in the "Other" comments but pick the right size for what you need.

Cheap, easy to install, works just better then Seagate, and it's a nice hard drive to have during work.

Very fast drives thanks to their cache. Work great on RAID. Extremely quiet drives. Great value. Ridiculous high quality build. No bolted covers here, they look like they are almost billet.
