Seeking Help for PC Upgrade

Well it’s only $50 more for the 9600X 850 combo VS 7600X 650 combo I think it’s worth it If you plan on upgrading your GPU in a year or so Here’s the new list https://newegg.io/48e130d
about $710 in cart

Thanks that helped! Everything will fit with no problems in your case

I was actually just looking into those boards. What is the difference between the m and m-e versions? Motherboards might as well be in a different language it makes minimal sense in my brain tbh.

More/faster USB ports & 3 M.2 slots on Asus Asrock has more power stages on the board useful on higher end CPU’s which really won’t help much on 7600x/9600x it varies on the make/model of the board

Any thoughts on this board? From what I was reading seems comparable to the ASUS TUF for a little cheaper of a price (bonus for being pretty) but I occasionally pick based off looks so I wanted to ask for other opinions as well.

The build seems pretty solid but the cpu would be a bottleneck in the build. If you still want the 3d v-cache then you can get a 5800x3d instead which is a solid pairing for the 2080 super. For the psu you should get an 650-750 watt one which are at what I consider fair prices. If you need anymore help just ask and we’re here.

Good board & looks good but you will loose the combo deal thou

5800X3D is almost impossible to find and if you can it’s $300+
5800XT combo is good choice but it’s almost the same price as 7600X combo

Should I just go with the 7600x to set me up for later upgrades then? Or would I be hurting myself in the short term?

Could I make a different combo with other things I’d need as well?

The biggest thing is 650 board don’t have PCIe 5.0 all current & future GPUs will be 5.0 you’ll loose a little bit of performance running PCIe 5.0 GPU at 4.0(1%-3%) but you may never notice

sorry been away a bit but you’re in good hands with Kegun. just keep going with the philosophy what you’re doing now is building a Solid foundation now for future upgrades.

When looking at PSU’s what should you look for typically? They vary in price a lot even when they have the same watts and rating.

At least 650 watts ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 for future upgrades. The 80+ Bronze, Gold rating are just how power efficient they are it doesn’t matter as much. I’d get the highest wattage you afford It’s better to have and not need it thing. Brands I like & used are Corsair MSI & my buddy’s SAMA works fine for him Just make sure it had a 5yr to 10yr warranty

You need one I don’t know how that 2080 Super is working right on 550 watt power supply I surprised it doesn’t restart randomly when playing a game

Somehow that has yet to happen. Kinda figured I would need one just wasn’t sure what to look out for since there are so many options

Best deal I’ve seen https://www.newegg.com/msi-atx12v-850-w-up-to-90-power-supplies-black-mpg-a850gs-pcie5/p/N82E16817701031?Item=N82E16817701031
I’ve used MSI 850gl in 2 systems since 2024 no problems yet 850gs is a newer version with a bigger fan 120mm vs 130mm It’s just too bad the white version costs $30 more
