Question 1

Does it operate at 3.7 Ghz out of the box?  I don't know much about overclocking and was hoping it had a factory overclock at 5.3 GHz?  Or is 5.3 GHz the max you can overclock it up to?

This is 3.7 GHz out of the box. All CPU's have a variation built into them, the overclock community refers to as a lottery. Some just out perform others. My I9 is at the bottom of the performance numbers I've seen in my overclocking league, and I can get to 5.3, but Im tweaking it hard on a custom cooled system. Other guys on average get there easier than me. But the numbers aside, the 3.7 with 10 cores and 20 threads is a pure performance chip out of the box, the rest is just extra candy :). I suggest using Intels Extreme Tuning Utility tool (download from intel) And it makes overclocking easy for novices. Good luck and I bet once your plug it in, you probably wont feel the need to crank it up, but if you ever want the extra horsepower, its right there under the hood.

What would a good air cooler be for this CPU?

Hey Mike, I understand you are asking about air cooling, but for this processor I would recommend a liquid AIO at the least. With that said, if you don't mind hosting a monster size of a cooler, the CoolerMaster V8 GTS served me well for a few years in the air cooling department and I'd recommend it to anyone seeking air cooling.

Will this CPU ever at least be available for backorder? I have never had a harder time getting a company to take my money...

A lot of computer hardware is on backorder due to COVID and the issues it has created with shipping along with where the wonderful computer parts come from (China/Japan). I'm sure the items like GPUs, processors and whatever else they are running short on will be in stock in a few months. We just have to deal with the fact that life is going to be a little less easy for everyone in everyway for a while thanks to a virus.

what would be a good motherboard for this because I have my mind set on the asrock  z490 extreme 4?

I'm personally going with the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI) motherboard because it's got a lot of features for not an extreme-level motherboard price. It's pricey af, but I'd say you should go for something like ASUS if you're going to play around with the BIOS a lot because their BIOS is miles ahead of most other companies as of now. With the new i9 10th gen CPU's, I've heard there's a lot to configure in the BIOS for great performance. Keep in mind that ASUS sometimes has pretty bad customer service, so be sure to read up on their warranty.

Most retailers have stocks coming in early June and early July. I cannot speak for Newegg directly, but I would imagine they're on the same distribution list as everyone else.

Depends on your needs mainly, Are you looking for a not frills top notch board or Something with flair and OC capabilities. All boards are different and need to be researched to find the board you will get the most use of.

Is this compatible with a MAG B460M MORTAR WIFI? Everything on the MSI website says it compatible expect this product doesn't say anything about being UHDGraphics630 1200MHz. I'm confused about this part.

The Intel Core i9-10900K is compatible with Intel 500 Series Boards. It includes Intel UHD Graphics 630 with a Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.2 GHz (1200 MHz).

I have a CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler,..Is this addequate for this cpu...?

I personally think it would be, but I'm not endorsed by anyone, so my advice would be check with Corsair, they are very reputable and at the top of the game. Their online system builder tool may even help you. But depending on you intended use, I think you would be ok.

It says memory supported 2933 . Is that the ONLY memory that i can use with this CPU does it support other speeds ?

3) DDR4 maximum speed support is 1 and 2 DPC for UDIMMs but only 1 DPC for SODIMMs. DDR4 2DPC UDIMM 2933 or 2666 is capable when same UDIMM part number are populated with in each channel.
