It worked fine until a lightning hit took out some components. Some were obviously burned, but although this card looked OK, the computer wouldn't work until I unplugged the card. I used it with WinXP and Win7. I'll probably get an identical card to replace it -- unless I buy PCIe.

inexpensive, easy to install, works just fine.

Works with Windows Server 2008 without additional drivers.

It was easy to install and also a plus was it came with the correct drivers

I built a Win7 PC two years ago to run my DAW that connected with my MOTU Traveler audio interface (Firewire). The original card I used was the Vantec UGT-UF100. Although that mostly worked, it had a consistent habit of losing the connection every few days. To get the connection back I'd have to reboot the system, power cycle the Traveler, or both. After seeing many reports in specialty forums about the importance of using a TI chipset for Firewire work, I took a flyer and put this card in. It has been a little over a week now and there have been no problems. As with many other USB and 1394 port expansion cards, installation was automatic -- no work to do. After putting in the card, I connected the cable to the Traveler and haven't touched it since. Reliability has been good -- no disconnections so far. Glad I did this -- well worth the 25 bux.

Works as described.

Easy to install on an Asus P755D MBD. running Windows 7 64 bit. Windows asks for the drivers, just run the disk. I already had 2 USB 3.0 needed more and this card works. Same speed as the on board USB 3.0
