I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to install the correct drivers as I don't have a disc drive on this pc. but windows was able to get it done without me doing anything.

Plugged it into my hackintosh (10.5.7), and it was recognized right away as Firewire 800, with no driver installation needed. Works with my hard drive and Griffin FW audio device (I understand audio devices are especially picky). I don't have a FW800 device to try it with, however. Has internal pin header for your cases FW400 connector. Comes with brackets for both standard and low-profile cases.

It worked fine until a lightning hit took out some components. Some were obviously burned, but although this card looked OK, the computer wouldn't work until I unplugged the card. I used it with WinXP and Win7. I'll probably get an identical card to replace it -- unless I buy PCIe.

Works... Lots of USB Ports! The internal header is great!
