This switch works very nicely. It is well made, and reliably auto-switches to the newest HDMI source (either freshly powered-up, or plugged-in). I haven't used the remote control at all. I chose to use the included AC adapter in a switched outlet and it doesn't mess it up to have the power turned off at night. I use the switch to connect multiple devices to feed my Vizio sound bar HDMI input (and then the sound bar output connects to the older TV - no ARC connection available). I have watched 1080p Blu-Ray videos from a Sony player, streamed video from an Xbox 360, and streamed from a laptop PC with no issues. I have an older TV so I cannot try 4K. It seems to pass Dolby TrueHD just fine. I haven't tried Dolby Atmos yet. This product is a huge improvement over one of the cheaper generic cobra-head switches which never stayed on the source I wanted (so I sent it back after one day). Oh, it had very nice packaging, too. I usually don't care about it, but it came in a pretty nice box I will keep around and use for something else.
