The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD is an excellent uninterruptible power supply. I am using these units to protect my PC, server, and home theater. Pure sine wave output, voltage regulation, and the ability to safely power down equipment. The info on the LCD display is extremely useful. Well designed and built UPS, I highly recommend this product to others that wish to protect their equipment.
- From a power and plug standpoint, this is just a newer (and slightly less bulky) version of the XS 1500. - By comparison, buttons are now on top making it easier to locate from a seated position if you keep the unit on the floor. - The display is brighter than my previous unit (and not red!) while active which is welcomed. - Tested it under full load twice and held up like a champ.
The product is improved from my prior model without much difference in price. I like that the box is just a little bit smaller and better ventilated.
Low Cost Good amount of battery / surge So far, very reliable
Used this recently. It lasted for about 2.5 hours running my Asus RT66U, Arlo Security Cameras, and my Motorola Cable modem. Keeping my communication and security systems up.
Easy to set up and use.
- Arrived well-before suggested delivery date. - Well-packaged to prevent any damage. - Set-up was easy with minimal, but very good instructions. - It has been in use for almost two weeks, and there have been no electrical incidents where the backup needed to turn on, so . . . will need to wait to comment on reliability. - Connected to the Back-UPS 1500 are an iMac with two ext HDD's, a Mac mini M2 Pro w/ 4TB of SSD, a studio monitor, and an OWC mini stack STX with a 4 TB HDD and 4 TB of SSD.
Well packed manufacturer packaging. Very clear multi-lingual user manual that is well worth the time reading the few pages in your chosen language. Very clear warning markers attached to UPS. Very difficult to install and use this unit without seeing the warning marker to connect the internal batteries. Silent operation; it does not have any fans on/in it that I can tell. Novel "master slave" outlet pairing. Lose power to the "master" device and the "slave" device turns off immediately. The manual tells me this feature is disabled by default, but read the user manual carefully to fully understand it's operation.
Easy setup Clean looking Easy management
Didn't have to mess with it to get it up and running. Previous UPSes had to have the battery connected. Not so here. The one brief power blip I have had allowed my computer to keep running.
Pure Sine wave Output on Battery. Plenty of battery back up outlets.
Using this battery for the HDTV, Uverse box, and stereo equipment with very common brown-outs in our area. This gives me time to shut down the TV and stereo properly instead of crashing everything. Not even a hiccup during momentary power losses.
This is a great battery backup. I don't know of anything of comparible quality in this price range.
Ok, to get this out of the way--ONE button does everything. Not the most convenient thing for consumers to do but simplifies things for the maker of the product except when people call them and go "blah blah, how do I do this or dat?" The instructions come with it on how to set settings though. Voltage trip range could be set to sensitive, normal, or high. I left it on normal, which is preset, and it tripped once within a week--I heard a click from the unit, which means it activated. Also, audio alarm could be disabled (or couple other options as to when it would activate), all of which also is set by one button.. meh. You have to hold button for so long, blah, do so long of a press blah, blah blah... meh. Green power LED is very nice looking but too bright for bedrooms, so I had to put a sticky note paper over it and paint that area with a black permanent marker (in reverse order) to keep that light from shining brightly in the room. Overall: it is a very nice polished looking product for a reasonable price.
Provides good power supply/protection PowerChute app provides excellent details
Been waiting for a storm to submit a review. This unit maintained my internet connection during a Tornado Warning and subsequent power outage. I love it!
Works as described, costs less than other brands for the same output.
Rack Mount, LCD readout for Load, Time Left etc. Easy to use interface.
