Been waiting for a storm to submit a review. This unit maintained my internet connection during a Tornado Warning and subsequent power outage. I love it!

I've read all the previous comments and when the APC arrived I was a little concerned regarding noise. Well after three months, I can hear nothing and the PAC sits about two feet away. The mfgr date was FEb/18 so that may help. The system has operated exactly as advertised and was super easy to install and use. It has been quietly doing its job since I got it and even though I have had 3 "Events" I did not know it until I looked at the display.

For a single PC this will give you enough time to save what ever work you have before losing power. I sustained a single PC under moderate load for 30 minutes before getting eminent shut down alerts. It is currently being used to back up power for a building automation system.

This unit is great for protecting standard office rack-mount networking hardware - I've deployed it with several customers and never had a problem with the unit.

Simple battery connection and change out, no need to use screws and dis assemble the unit like other brands. I have had these ware out over many many years but they still last the longest and easy to swap out old batteries is a must for me.

- Works as advertised, supports my mid-range PC with dual monitor setup long enough to save, close my work & shutdown when outages/fluctuations occur - power supplied to my devices plugged in remains consistent & entirely uninterrupted - Has lived through over a dozen power flickers & full on outages in my small town which is notorious for frying household appliances with our terrible power company (in southern Ontario, Canada) - Alarm when wall power is lost and UPS has kicked on can be turned off/on - Alarm, when on, is not excessively loud - the word alarm makes you think it will be screaming at you but it's comparable to a microwave button beep, probably a little bit quieter - When alarm is turned off, it still makes a very audible click when kicking on due to external power being cut off, so unless you have closed headphones or are blasting music you'll probably know the power went out if you didn't have any other indicator (like you had your lights off in your room mid-day or something) and can begin shutting your stuff off

- Solid AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) - it actually works as advertised. I consistently get 140V-160V (yikes) voltage spikes and dips to 90v at my apartment (the wiring is terrible and the landlord doesn't care). This unit protects my computer and other electronics from those spikes. -Switches to battery without any of my electronics flickering when the AVR range is exceeded. -Long battery run time. The front panel reports over 2 hours on idle at desktop and up to 7 minutes under a 400w load (running BOINC).

Works great, no issues. Using them for Diecast machines adn work flawlessly

Gives surge protection and battery back up for the numerous times we lose power or get power flickers here. Also lightning stikes are plentiful. saved my computer and modem several times. Gives enough battery back up to get units off line before disaster strikes. Have lost numerous files and Apps before installing this back up unit.

I like the fact that I can plug my high end computer into the APC SMC1500C along with my monitor, printer and other components into it and still not having to max out the total power consumption. I like the way the screen is so I can read what I need to see the UPS is working properly.

- Power conditioning! I can't tell you how many people I know who have had high priced gaming rigs destroyed by low and high voltage spikes. You need some sort of power conditioning to keep your stuff safe! - Hot swappable batteries. I love this. No need to shut down when you have to swap out the battery, and the unit provides a level of conditioning even without the battery, so no need to worry if you fumble replacing it for a few minutes. - Small footprint. These units get smaller all the time, and yet still offer the same level of protection and number of outlets. - The Cloud! I know, it's a marketing term, but it's really nice to scan a code and be notified when you have power events. You still have the option to hardwire this thing, but why?

Slim, Easy to Read Display

None so far

- Good voltage regulating. - Good wattage regulating. - Good software. - Good display. - Good noise. - Good testing software. Anything you see about acid and some stuff its not true.

-web interface for management -email alerts -can do both web interface and USB for safe shutdown of computers or NAS

Great UPS. Huge advantage is having many outlets for the battery backup. Has been powering a router, modem, and POE switch with no problems. Survived 2 power outages and worked excellently!
