Installed onto my 1150 motherboard without any problems. I was using the stock Intel cooler that came with my i5 4690...my idle temps have gone down from 32c-35c to 26c-29c and load temps from 65c-70c down to 53c-56c with my new Noctua NH-U12S cpu cooler. That is a significant difference and this is on the same day it was installed. The temps may even go down a bit more once the thermal paste has set. A very good cooler.

In a case will good ventilation this can cool the hardest running CPU's under heavy loads. Noise volume and quality are excellent and can easily be tuned for silent running.
