My first AMD processor works as expected. Discrete graphics available It is nice to have the CPU cooler present in the box.

It lives up to it's specs. I won't be overclocking this thing, so can't speak to that. It's easy to install - orient it correctly and just drops into place.

I'm coming from a 2011 build with a 2nd Gen i7-2600K. This thing is silky smooth... I'm cooling it with a 240mm H100i RGB Platinum Closed loop AIO and get 29/31C idles and 45/50C max load/games currently OC'd @ 4.6GHz and I'm sure it can go over 5GHz just not tempted to do so just yet.. This processor is intended to be an all around and gaming PC which it handles everything with ease. (My build is described below) the HT feature, even though nice, is not needed for gaming... maybe if't you're a streamer and constantly using fraps and lossless RGB settings then MAYBE the i7-8700K is for you. I've even used fraps while playing and no loss in performance and FPS... I'm a loyal intel consumer, been building these things since the Pentium Overdrive/P3/C2D/2nd gen i7 and now this one. Never built an AMD for myself. *UPDATE* Upped the overclocking last night to 5GHz, temps went up to 38C.

If you are looking for the best performance on a budget, this is your chip. I built two systems with similar hardware except for the CPU - one with this and the other with a core 7 265. I can't tell a difference in Star Citizen, one of the most demanding games on a CPU.

I got this on special and it has been flawless so far. I upgraded from a i7 third gen which was given to me a few months back and you can notice the difference while gaming.

Always been a fan of AMD. This processor does not disappoint. Graphic performance is superb for my purposes as I am not a gamer.

upgraded from a 3900x only hits 72 c on cpu stress test after 20 min run so I am happy oh water cooled CPU and GPU

This was an easy setup and runs great! I have not had any issues and it runs 24/7. It is extremely fast and the GPU was better than I expected although I m still adding a Nvidia card.

I have both, but in different boards; i read a review that said the hyperthreading only counts in certain games, and since I run a dx-11 title on my surround view rig, i can't notice any disadvantage, nor a boost when playing american truck driver. the one thing i have noticed, is it's currently a lot cheaper than my 3600, lol! but seriously folks; I've run a few hundred hrs with this proc, using an msi r-9 290, a gigabyte wind force gtx 1650 o.c; and an asus rtx 5050 o.c. without a single hitch! i love the new 5050 by the way; i removed the plastic back plate, and re-installed the screws, to use the shroud as the support plate, so i could set a 92mm 4-pin fan over the pcb (dart tips fit the mounting holes, and are trimable for height) and it runs 5760 x 1080p at about 60% load, and 120 degrees F.... (44 fps and full eye candy) i'm on an asrock b550 phantom 4; 16gb timtec 16-18-18-38 3200mhz; a 40" tv, with two 32" viewsonics for the side windows, and it rocks! i'm old school; i built my first rig in 1995, and i never overclock, i just upgrade to go faster, lol! my bragging rights come from the years i can squeeze out of the cash i paid; i have 20 motherboards; an abit ax5 with a 100 mhz dx4, and perfect caps after 30 years. i have a foxconn destroyer, an asrock 990fx fatalty killer, an asrock z590 steel legend atx's all. a pair of zotac 780 gtx's amped editions with full solid copper water blocks, a gigabyte ud5 with an i7 core / and 8 x 4 gb sticks quad channel ddr3 patriot 1866 mhz copper aluminum spreaders with copper bars inside..................................... an original foxconn 8800 gtx i purchased the day it was released

My favorite processor in this price range. It smokes. If you are not a gamer and do not want a GPU in your system, this is also going to serve you well. EXCELLENT FAST RELIABLE INTEL QUALITY

Decent price point, especially when compared to the i9. I've had it for a month now and it's been performing wonderfully.

Fast Newegg shipping as always. I have a Dell m1330 that had a T7250 2.0 Core 2 duo from the factory and this was a breeze to install. Took all of maybe 40 minutes. Pop open the door, remove a few screws, lift out the old processor, slather on a bit of thermal paste, and pop in the new one. Booted right up and runs great. I use system-intensive audio recording software (Cubase) and needed the increase in power, but even for everyday tasks, my laptop took a nice speed jump. Although at first skeptical, I found the 6 MB level 2 cache really did make a difference over the T7250's 2 MB, and the half ghz clock increase also was worth the price.
