I was using a 3.2Ghz i5 CPU before. This new i7-7700K blows that one away in performance; with 4 cores and 2 threads per core. It's also unlocked, so I ran it up to 5Ghz and it ran fine, just made the fans run fast most of the time so I slowed it back down to 4.7Ghz. Now they only speed up for 5-10 seconds as the processor peaks. Great Value to give an older computer new life.

Quick CPU. A.I Capability.

Is a beast Works great with a 4070

I hope it's a nice upgrade from my current FX9590. I'll install in a month or so when I return to the US...

Decent power for cost

-bought used -as described -between 90 and 95% as fast as a 5800x3d

This chip is fast and over clocks like a champ! On my MSI Ace Meg board, it’s rocking at 5.3ghz on AIO maxing out at 55c! I almost feel like that’s not anyway possible or something, but it’s there rocking away playing COD.

Affordable: Compared to some of the other processors in Intel's lineup, the i5-12400F is relatively affordable, making it a good choice for budget-minded consumers. Good gaming performance: This processor offers solid gaming performance, thanks to its 8 cores and 16 threads. It can handle most games at high settings without any issues. Power-efficient: The i5-12400F has a relatively low TDP (thermal design power), which means that it is more power-efficient than some other processors on the market. PCIe 5.0 support: The i5-12400F supports PCIe 5.0, which is the latest version of the PCIe interface. This means that it can handle the latest GPUs and SSDs that use this interface.

Nice price !

it is a champion cpu

fast enough.
