The heat dissipation area, with 5°C- 20°C cooling effect (Varies depending on the environment temps used in). The Item Size: 2.76 x 0.87 x 0.12in, has a Net Weight: 0.28oz. It comes with thermal Pads, you have to tear off the transparent protective film of the thermal pad, otherwise there will be no thermal conductivity. The aging time of this material is stated as 1-3 years, but repeated use will accelerate the aging. Best to put it where you want it and leave it. It is a little soft, and a little elastic, but no elasticity, if you pull hard it will break. Size: 2.64x0.79x0.04 inch. The Package contained the M.2 Heatsink, Thermal Pad, 2 x Metal Clips, 2 x Rubber Bands and a Cleaning towel. I used the towel to clean the heat sink and NVME SSD surfaces that the thermal pad would be attached to. I removed the the protective plastic covering from the thermal pad and applied it. After mating the components together, I used the rubber bands to hold everything in place. I elected to use these versus the metal clips for my installation.

A pro is that there are connections for ten (more than enough) fans!

Many great mounting options. Magnetic back, screw holes pre drilled and tapped, "feet" than can be used for mounting. Works great. Great power adaptor.

Keeps the hottest SSD COOL I ordered to cool the WD 850 which does not have its own solution available yet. 35-45C I've seen reviews at 88-90 without cooling, so I don't think you could possibly do better

Good solid copper heat-sink, and silicone heat transfer pad, fits perfectly with my 2 ICY DOCK MB601VK-B" Trays and makes contact at just the wright pressure to further remove heat from the NVMe drive. Affects the internal temperature of the drive by a great degree, calculated a good 65% of the generated heat is removed.

Benchmark shows a measurable impact on performance.
