So I got the drive, hooked it up to my Thunderbolt on my motherboard, and I transferred some files to my C drive, and I got a two-gig transfer speed. The Reading speed is great

Portable, simple setup, useful dual connector design

Super fast. Gets very close to the 1050MB/s as advertised. Great for gaming on the go but must be connect to USB-C. Small and light, pocket size. Many AAA games that require 100+GB installs for storage can benefit from and sometimes demand the speeds of SSDs. The Crucial X9 will meet and satisfy the demand. Nowadays gaming storage libraries easily exceed 1 terabyte or more. The 2TB on the Crucial X9 is plenty of storage for on-the-go gaming, especially Steam libraries since they are easily transferable from one computer to another.

Extreme, extreme speed, and future products will just keep getting better and cheaper. Fast format, loads all types and size files with ease and speed. Efficient, saves tons of time compared to using even a very fast thumb drive, SSDs as portable storage devices are the future, in the present. Storage capacity is what a dream of mine a few years ago would be, yet maintaining a very attainable price point. Was able to transfer all my games from one computer to another within minutes, glad the new motherboards have the necessary ports to use the drive's speed to the fullest. Smaller than a portable hand sanitizer, so light that you'll think you've lost it many times a day just to realize it's been in your front pocket all day long.

I got a great deal on this because it was on sale. I needed big portable storage. I had another 2TB thumb drive, but when my laptop fell it nearly broke off the plug. I'd been using an extender with multiple sockets to avoid that, but this was way better. The yellow loop comes off, and then one end goes in the drive and the other in the USB-C port. Connections are firm. It feels extremely durable--metal casing and no projecting or moving parts to break or wear out. I feel like I could drive over it and it would still be OK. I can't speak technically about speed, but it's plenty fast for me. The little light at the end is always flashing colors while it's plugged in!

This product does work as advertised but I needed to buy a Thunderbolt 4 cable and plug it into the only USB-C Gen 4 2x2 port on my PC. On the front USB-C port is a Gen 3 port, I "only" get 1000MB/s read instead.

Easy to use. FAST, it is fast.

Plug-n-play, no separate power brick required. Very fast with USB-C port. Amazingly compact for a drive of 4 TB size. Well made and good looking case design. Packaging is very sturdy.

Plug and play, copies over pix quickly. Was recognized by my iphone and did move a pix over.
