Plug 'n' play with 3rd party external enclosure I can't believe how far we've come in just the last 2-3 years in regards to availability, speeds, and reliability, plus even accessibility which makes it just the best recommendable upgrade anyone can do, whether it be for an older laptop needing a boost to speeds, or even as an addition to a gaming system as a 2ndary drive. I'm, however, using this as a nice everyday-carry item where I put all my larger files which transfer extremely fast, and batches of smaller files which transfer completely before you even have a chance to look down twice at your keyboard. Thanks Newegg for carrying this, and thanks Crucial for continuing to make products that are a true bargain while attaining superior performance.

Insanely fast upgrade from the stock NVMe drive that came with the build. Just incredibly fast.

Never had any issues 6 months later. Does not overheat. No noticeable difference from my 980 or even my older 970. in day to day use.

No other place site ect had this cheaper. New egg seems to always have the better deals .

Super easy to install and set up Great aesthetic, looks good in my set up.

Was worried the heatsink would inpinge on the graphics card, and it was close! Check your measurements carefully. As a happy accident it is now catching air off the graphics card exhaust hopefully its a net cooling but who knows. The heat spreader that came with the MB was useless so I'm glad I got something with a HS already attached. sequential read only is even close to 14K, IOPS read though is 4.7 GB! really nice! And you can tell the speed when installing software or moving data.

I replaced my sshd. With this one in my 2018 Asus FX504, and what a difference!!!! Very happy so far!!!

- Like most WD drives, this is good price to performance ratio, and I've had no real issues with WD storage over the years; initial runs are looking to be similarly stable.

This was the first time I've used these cards. They were easily installed in M.2 slots on my ASUS board. The bios picked them up and Win 11 had no problem finding them. No issues, will know more as the years go by.

Arrived ahead of schedule, well packaged; installation in a newish Lenovo basic laptop was almost as simple as plugging the 8gb memory stick I had installed previously. The laptop came with 4gb of ram, and a 128 card soldered in. Sucked, especially witn Win 11. Now, it screams right along, doing everything I ask for. I'm using TG SSD's in most of my equipment, which is mostly other peoples' castoffs, and haven't had a failure yet.
