So easy to use

Main purchase decision... I purchased this Wavlink Dual Bay HD Dock so that I could have my older Sata 3.5" HD's securely erased before I recycled them. This dock is perfect for my Sata 3.5" HD security wipe requirements. I have my own security wipe program that I purchased for this task. My old WD and Seagate HD's were were making noise in my computer desktop. So, I replaced them with new ones. This dock easily accomodated my old WD and Seagate 3.5" Sata HD's. They fit securely when inserted gently in the Sata connector inside the dock. The dock has a blinking Read/Write LED that shows the activity of the HD's and a Power LED for the dock to show when it is switched on. Please note that it is easy to accidentally press the on/off switch while carrying the dock from one location to another. I always make sure that the power switch is in the off position when I rest the dock down on my work surface. Then I can safely insert the HD into the dock, connect the included USB 3.0 cable to the dock, and plug in the power supply that came with the dock. I then turn on the docks power switch. I then attach the other end of the USB 3.0 cable that is coming from the dock to my PC and run the security wipe program. Other thoughts... I have only used one dock bay at a time since you can only run the security wipe program once per hard drive. I haven't even taken advantage of the dual dock bays use of two HD's inserted at the same time yet. I can't comment on that yet. However, I bought this dual dock considering I can use it for other purposes in the future. I have carefully compared this docks features to that of other docks in the same price range. I did not want to spend that much money on a dock for my occasional use. Final thoughts... I am greatly satisfied with this dual dock. I would highly recommend it to a friend if asked for my opinion.

amazing fit, amazing speed, and with repeated and continuous large file transfers the case dissipated the heat shockingly well also includes the thermal heat pad that touches m2 and outer shell i put a samsung 970 plus 2tb m2 in it
