bought this to replace my old 750GB WD HDD I was using for data backups. this is much faster, & I uninstalled the external SATA card I had for accessing my 750GB external drive. shaves several seconds off boot times, the system would always display a splash screen while checking the internal SATA card. running this drive in an external USB 3.0 enclosure. got the SSD drive on sale, can't go wrong with Samsung solid state drives. rockin' a 1TB NVMe Samsung drive as my main. am very happy with all my Samsung drives. 'nuff said.

The bottom board is the 862 and holds the 2280 drive. #2: No SD card though not easy to see - because it's booting off of the 1TB 2280!!!! #3: Mounting of this drive hardware. #4: The nifty little USB 3.x hub that is nearly same size as the Pi - that hub is worth the buy for sure (New Egg p/n in the overall review)

Was worried the heatsink would inpinge on the graphics card, and it was close! Check your measurements carefully. As a happy accident it is now catching air off the graphics card exhaust hopefully its a net cooling but who knows. The heat spreader that came with the MB was useless so I'm glad I got something with a HS already attached. sequential read only is even close to 14K, IOPS read though is 4.7 GB! really nice! And you can tell the speed when installing software or moving data.
