Great product !!! 9.8 of 10 Work with the All server OS & Nas Os ,Windows Server ,TrueNas, Linux , Open Media Vault , Ubuntu Server ,Rockstor....etc. No need for Graphics Card and you can control it remotely even turn on and off ! :) no need for monitor , and does not consume a lot of power .Its work 24/7 Price Vs performance 10 of 10 .........very fast ....and .powerful ...nice Asrock !!
I went with an i7-13700k as I heard there were power limitations on the upper end of the i9-13900k(s) variations. This thing is fast, stable (ECC helps), and has lots of expansion compared to its x12 predecessor. I am using both the onboard ASPEED and Intel iGPU by setting Max TOLUD to between 1-2GB and enabling onboard as default video.
Everything works, The IPMI web interface is fast and easy.
It's a real beast! Works with my AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX (also from Newegg) veeeeeery well. Note: - You have to upgrade BIOS to 2.a, otherwise can not boot. - It's cheaper than ASUS WRX80E-SAGE Pro, and I have to say, BETTER! - Too difficult to use ASUS WRX80E-SAGE Pro, which needs a BIOS updating too. However, I couldn't get ASUS BIOS Flash button & IPMI BIOS Flashing work. To verify these, I wasted money on SAGE MB, another 3955WX CPU and 8 x Crucial 16GB RAMs which are listed by ASUS. Good luck!
All the features you could ever want. Has sensors for days! HTML5 WebUI for Remote Console to your OS!
- A proper Ryzen server board with support for ECC and IPMI - Integrated Intel 10 Gigabit Ethernet, It's cheaper than buying a board and genuine Intel card separately (in most cases)
This is great little server board for Xeon E series processors. Supermicro boards have been easy for me to set up and this one is, too. It’s nice to have m.2 and be able to use ECC memory.
See the review by Brian W. I had the same problem. Memory not recognized. Support said it is if you are using Cascade Lake processor, you need current (2.10 for me) BIOS. How to update bios is a bit unclear when board will not POST. You turn power supply on but do not actually turn the board/system on so that the power is being supplied to the BMC/IPMI/board but the system is not trying to boot. Connect the board to your network/router using the IPMI LAN port above the USB ports. Use another laptop/system on your network to login to your router to determine what IP address was assigned to the motherboard IPMI port. Once you have that IP address, just point a browser (ASRockRack support recommends chrome) to that IP (https:\\ip) and login using the default of admin/admin. Then proceed to maintenance to flash the bios with the unzipped bios file you can download from the ASRockRack support site for this board. Once this is finished, the system booted as expected. ASRockRack support was timely and excellent technically, so email them for help as needed. They saved me from asking Newegg for an RMA.
Plenty of SATA ports, 4 PCIE4.0x16, 10 GB... IPMI it's a great plus!
-mATX -8 SATA -PCI-E Layout -7 Fan Headers
Lots of SATA ports, support for EEC ram and LGA1151 sockets. Dual GbE, and a third dedicated IPMI port. Lots of room for expansion. Ideal for headless computers
