These are great surge protectors. We've been using these for more than 20 years. The enclosure is metal and is industrial-like. I use them for all of my electronics, heck my college uses these for all of their computers (300+ computers). They help protect your expensive electronics, I've never had anything damaged when hooked up to one of these. The cable is nice and long, 12' allows you to hook this up virtually anywhere without having to use an extension cable. If you really need extra cable they sell a 25' version of this product. It also has a right angle plug which is helpful because it saves space. If you work in an industrial environment these are good to use to protect equipment or other sensitive devices. These work very well with Home Theater equipment as well.

Have been using Isobar metal surge suppressors along with other supressor designs (non-MOV) for over 15 years. I have seen the Isobars in action. A friend's house was hooked up 'incorrectly' at the pole, and everything electric in the house was destroyed, including the refrigerator and stove. That was no everyday "surge"; it was a voltage onslaught. The surviving equipment: stereo rack, which was hooked to the isobar. The isobar was a charred crisp inside. You can mount 2 Transformers on the sides. You can mount the surge protector to a board or something.

I looked around town for a surge suppressor that would save me from the CATV lightning strikes in the area. This one is better than you will find at your neighborhood hardware store and at a very reasonable price. Tripp-Lite has a great reputation and this product is no exception. IT WORKS!

I am currently using 4 of these for my Classic Arcade Games. Love that I can have my games plugged in and then switch them on or off by using the power strip's switched outlets. Some of the Arcade Games have On/Off Switches located in difficult-to-reach locations.

this surge suppressor is just perfect. i bought it in order to protect my very beefy workstation setup and so far so good. i love the front switch and as well the amount of outlets. recommended :)
