- Inexpensive - Great Reliability - Doesn't take up much space - Very easy to set up
-All metal construction -Simply plug and play, no configuration needed -Simple light indicators to show which ports are running at 1Gb or 100Mb speeds -Rubber feet can be added at your discretion to allow for best possible mounting/positioning of the switch -Power adapter is quite small, allowing for installation in tighter areas
Small foot print, managed, and gigabit.
Had me up and working in under a minute.
*up to 16Gbps per panel of 8 ports (2Gbps per port) bandwidth *amazingly fast and reliable! *QoS Support *Jumbo Frames support up to 9K (speeds up large file transfers if ALL devices can support the same frame size on LAN) *solid and nice looking case *wall-mountable *mini-version of industry standard with front facing ports and rear facing power adapter *fanless design (and runs very cool, was always cold to touch) in own testing I was able to peak around 110.8MB/s (or 887Mbps or 0.89Gbps) while transferring files between desktop (SSD drive, Intel Gbe LAN) and laptop (7200rpm HDD and Realtek Gbe LAN) over gigabit ethernet through this switch.
Small Physical Signature: This switch is small so doesn't take up much space. Plug and Play: Speed test done right after installed and it does a great job.
UniFi compatible and suited to the kinds of awful environmental conditions the old Ubiquiti Tough Switch Pro was perfect for. Being managed by UniFi rather than UISP simplifies the network, so it's GREAT to have this niche filled. Surprisingly useful to have more ports, didn't know we needed them until we had the option.
Definitely made for the office environment. There are no front facing LEDs, on the "front" there is a lock port and the power port. The side with the plugs are where all the status LEDs are. There are so many features on this via the included software that most switches do not have. Software was a quick install via included CD (still waiting for the move to flash drives for all this stuff). Included software was rather easy to navigate, there was one issue but that will be explained below. It's nice to be able to put into play all the features that are listed in the product title. The QoS feature worked great alongside the other various features listed above that I was able to test in my somewhat limited home environment. I actually really like the lack of LED displays on the side that is facing me. It's a nice lack of a feature I guess. It's a fairly compact 8 port switch which also is nice.
Easy to install and fit my needs perfectly.
Works as advertised and had no issues with autonegotiating speeds on interfaces with Google Fiber's provided equipment (an issue I had read about in reviews for other boxes which I was concerned about). Get full speed.
-Whisper quite -Many Features -Web GUI or phone app to manage it -You have to know what your doing or at least read the manual.
I really like this switch. It has all the great management features you would want, the GUI makes sense, VLANs work as expected, it has POE, and it's got a great slim form factor for wall mounting and getting it out of the way. Comes with the screws necessary to wall mount as well.
The switch has a very heavy and quality feel to it. POE+ works great with my cameras, and wireless access points.
Price, compact, quiet, reliable.
* Nice compact form factor * Included power adapter option is nice * Even nicer is being able to power it off PoE - one less wire/plug socket to deal with * Integrates well with the UniFi Network app, showing what devices are connected to it
