Metal housing is nice, Small form factor, Comes with rubber feet (optional), good construction feel to it (does not feel cheep)
- Inexpensive - Great Reliability - Doesn't take up much space - Very easy to set up
Jumbo frame support Solid metal construction Wasn't able to overload it even with 6 gigabit devices running full 9K jumbo frame speed tests over them, 3 sending and 3 receiving
- Works out of the box - No setup or configuration needed - Small enough to place almost anywhere
Nice connectors Love the way they lock in and are easy to remove. Replaced all my networks cables with CAT 8
This is definitely the perfect adapter for those looking for: 1. Rock solid reliability 2. Advanced server features such as the ability to team 3. Low system resource use I have this adapter installed into a small specific use server, that controls a Ubiquiti WiFi network and PoE camera system (the server is the Zone Controller and runs the AirOS software). The Intel adapter is capable of handling the incoming and outgoing traffic without skipping a beat and putting a minimal burden on the host CPU which was the idea. Further pros: 1. Comes with full sized PCI and low height brackets and the brackets are perforated for ventilation 2. Works in any PCI-E slot size 3. Driver set is easy to use and configure--many detailed explanations of the settings are found inside the driver set itself as well as a full blown manual that may also be downloaded
* Nice compact form factor * Included power adapter option is nice * Even nicer is being able to power it off PoE - one less wire/plug socket to deal with * Integrates well with the UniFi Network app, showing what devices are connected to it
Lower cost than others of its kind. It's significantly smaller than I was expecting, and the heat sink covers every bit of usable space for exceptional cooling.
Worked out of the box on FreeNAS 8.3. Worked with Intel drivers on CentOS 6. Speed is comparable to other 10gbit solutions.
Works with both PFSense and Proxmox without any special configurations.
I was able to upgrade my notebook to WiFi 7
Works as advertised and had no issues with autonegotiating speeds on interfaces with Google Fiber's provided equipment (an issue I had read about in reviews for other boxes which I was concerned about). Get full speed.
I upgraded from CAT 6 cable to this power cord. I use it to connect the TV to the router. There is a noticeable difference in sound quality when streaming video. Video improved slightly. Here's how to compare CAT 6 to this.
Small Physical Signature: This switch is small so doesn't take up much space. Plug and Play: Speed test done right after installed and it does a great job.
Provides power Looks Good Feels Solid
Plug it in, connect it to the network and it's doing its job. It is really that simple. Within five seconds of being connected it was serving five 100Mb and 1000Mb devices with no configuration needed. The fact it can wall-mount (hardware included) or sit flat on a table is a bonus. And the lifetime warranty is another great thing, although with the metal case and the fact this switch is not going to live in a harsh environment I don't foresee needing to use the warranty.
