I build pc's but I have never had a wifi card in my own systems. I do prefer a hard wire to my router/gateway via Cat6e but with my current move and arrangements, I have opted to give it a try. For one, Asus, what can you say? Great products that have not failed me in over 8 years of building with their parts. Plug and play? Kind of. Windows 10 detected the hardware installed but didn't install software or drivers (I believe Win7 would have). One restart and an install off the provided CD and I was set. I also run a Samsung dlna server for my TV and the wifi card is powerful enough to stream my movies though the wifi from my internal HDD. Bonus!

Solved all my connection issues, I replaced the OEM HP M2 card with this one and I am rock solid connecting 5GHz every time I start up my computer. OEM was not reliable connected 2GHz more often than 5GHz and would disconnect from router intermittently for no reason.
