Coverage is great even without a mesh! I could probably support all the houses on our block. Spendy, but worth every penny IMO.
Super fast and smooth It just works
Purchased to replace the vendor-supplied FIOS router. Plugged in WAN, plugged in power, and away we went. Setup was pretty easy and I'm getting close to the max on my gigabit FIOS. I'm mostly hard-wired throughout the house using multiple gig switches and getting near gig speeds on all of those lines, but I'm still using the Verizon router to supply wireless to the far reaches of the house... be sure to disable the DHCP server on the original router. I added a cheap WIFI 6 card to one of my desktops where I'm unable to go hard-wire, and I'm getting >600Mbps - I'm pretty happy with that! The price point was great since it was on sale, and the ability to eventually add additional routers via AiMesh is a plus and should let me dump the FIOS router.
Didn't feel much improvement on speed on old devices with wifi6 however the signal is super strong way better than the wifi from Spectrum. It's lightweight and elegant. Love the design. Also the iPhone App is a big plus
Easy installation, easy ip reservation for my other wifi router, speeds are great, ui is very easy to understand.
- Stable and fast connection across all bands - Easy to set up it took about 10 minutes to get everything running and another 30 minutes to explore different channel configurations (like combining 6GHz channels under one SSID) - I love the ASUS Router app it has everything I need, so there's no need to use the web interface at all
Better speed than the telephones companies all in one that wasn't receiving updates or had 5G.
Once setup, the router is excellent, however, I had to have a computer tech friend set it up, and it had its setup and communication difficulties before final operation...I never would have been able to connect the router myself.
Easy setup Fast internet User-friendly app
Faster speeds, looks good. Fast delivery
Fast speed, I have a 2Gbps Internet connection and the router is able to handle that WAN connection but I also have a 10Gbps NIC in my desktop and it handles that up to 2Gbps as well. So yes, you get 1-2Gbps port for WAN and 1 for LAN. Wireless is awesome and I have full coverage in my over 2000Sq Ft house on both floors. All devices connect without any issues. Setup is extremely simple even a non-tech person could do it. Useful feature set out of the box for monitoring and tweaking connections and setting policies/acls.
These replaced an ASUS RT-AC88U. The online interface is nearly identical so transitioning from old to new was easy. It feels like our wireless devices are connecting more quickly and easily with better range in the house. Our surveillance cameras definitely connect better. Im a heavy gamer too and have no complaints about this router with gaming.
- Easy to set up - Comprehensive feature set - Allows me to separate 5G and 2.4G networks - Excellent Android app that allows me to configure/monitor router remotely
