The TP-LINK TL-PA4010KIT has the capability to enable wired networking up to 300 meters, this powerline networking kit from TP-LINK easy enables network connectivity to a location where wireless and/or Ethernet cable cannot reach. I tested the kit with one device near a router in the 2nd floor office and the following remote locations within my home: 1st level HTPC and blu-ray player, kitchen mini-computer, and basement level desktop computer (this computer is roughly 165 meters of electrical wiring away from the first unit by the router). Testing to all machines I was able to stream 1080p mkv video and Netflix video with no issue. Within merely 7 or 8 minutes, from unpackaging to plugging in, I had a computer on my network with internet connectivity located 2 floors down. The simplicity in getting this powerline networking kit working is very simple, and the speeds are capable of streaming HD content with no issue. The hardest part of setting up the disparate computer with this powerline networking kit was running down the stairs from the 2nd level to the basement. Cosmetically, each powerline adapter is very well design, solidly built, and small in size (smaller than a credit card). Size is 2" wide, 2.6" high, and a slim 1.1" thick. Plugging it into the lower outlet allows the top outlet to remain uncovered and usable. The LEDs indicate power, activity, connection state and are not overly bright. It's also nice that TP-LINK has taken the extra effort in including two Cat 5e Ethernet cables. This makes the unit completely ready to go right out of the box.

- As fast as plugging into my wired router - Incredibly easy to expand the system - Pass through plug means the outlet isn't lost

Hooked up easy. Was able to connect to my existing D-Link Powerline adapter. Provided speeds superior to my previous model of the same AV2 standard connected to the same recepticles.

Works from hub/switch in first floor living room to basement via power line. Washer and dryer next to computer do not interfere with it. Replaces a wifi connection that was barely usable. (thru a wood floor covered by slate, then thru a stone planter, a La-z-boy and across the living room.
