The U7 Pro Max works as expected. I plugged them into my network via POE, adopted them within the console, and waited for updates. No issues. FYI, real-world coverage is closer to 1000 sq ft versus 1500.
i get tired of writing glowing reviews for Ubiquiti products, but here we are again......
Easy setup. Good performance.
- Powerfull reception - Low priced - Outdoor grade - Excellent throughput - The controller can be a simple software ran on a desktop on the same network and it is not mandatory to run it all the time once the antenna's been setup.
- easy to setup - lots of options on modes, etc. - great power and range
Super easy installation especially with the Ubiquiti CloudKey. Excellent cloud monitoring (again with the CloudKey). Lightweight. Reliable. POE meant it was not necessary to have a power outlet nearby which is very convenient.
Easy to install. Solved my issue without having to change to Fios or upgrade my Comcast speed. Coverage is great. Haven't lost a zoom call since installing system.
I was intimidated by the sophistication of the TP-Link Omada WiFi infrastructure. Instead, this unit came configured out-of-the-box as a single access point bridging its WiFi network to the wired LAN. There was no complexity and no port forwarding for external access. I used the TP-Link TL-SF1005P PoE switch to power it and the port priority feature of the switch.
