best modern I've ever used and my second ever purchases easy installation and set up with spectrum able to log in and check settings integrates easily with my TP Link WiFi 7 router boosted upload and download speeds of spectrum gig by 7%

Our ISP (MEDIACOM) had a list of recommended modems. I chose this Netgear CM-1000 Nighthawk and it's been working great since September of 2021. Designed to meet DOCSIS 3.1 specifications, it should last for quite a while. I'm not a gamer so I can't give any performance info. 5-Stars

Just plug it in and I called my internet service to change modem and boom done

easy setup called my cable provider and within 5 minutes up and running Spectrum Internet Ultra 400/20

Easy setup. Functions as expected. Looks cool.

easy to install and set up network. So much faster than the one Cox charged us to use. Went from 328 a month to 79.99 with 500mbps, internet only . go to C-Net.com to find ratings for a streaming carrier.

- Latest and greatest version! - Broadcom chipset

I've only had this modem for 3days at the time of this review. I'll be comparing this with my previous modem the ARRIS SB183, keep in mind there are many variables which will ultimately end with different results for different users. Size: the CM1000 is a few inches taller with a larger footprint due to the bottom base. The Led lights on the face are more muted which is less distracting for me based on my setup. Speed: this will vary based on your provider & service but in my case I had no performance increase both modems clock in at 230 Mbps down and 12Mbps up on average. The CM1000 is better suited for those who have access to DOCSIS 3.1 or are looking to upgrade an older modem, if you have a similar situation to mine you're better off keeping the unit you have as there is no increase in performance for the $100 premium. Design (Airflow) Performance LED Lights are more muted than my ARRIS modem

No more daily/weekly reboots to improve downgraded bandwidth.
