Had to replace an 8 year old model Cyberpower unit that had the motherboard die. I have had excellent luck with Cyberpower and this is the first unit I have ever had to replace.
Kinda small and not too heavy plenty of outlets for my use case good battery life for the price
Works as expected. keeps my devices running long enough for temporary power outages or for me to shut things down if I need to.
low cost nice design
Easy setup Clean looking Easy management
Well packed manufacturer packaging. Very clear multi-lingual user manual that is well worth the time reading the few pages in your chosen language. Very clear warning markers attached to UPS. Very difficult to install and use this unit without seeing the warning marker to connect the internal batteries. Silent operation; it does not have any fans on/in it that I can tell. Novel "master slave" outlet pairing. Lose power to the "master" device and the "slave" device turns off immediately. The manual tells me this feature is disabled by default, but read the user manual carefully to fully understand it's operation.
- Arrived well-before suggested delivery date. - Well-packaged to prevent any damage. - Set-up was easy with minimal, but very good instructions. - It has been in use for almost two weeks, and there have been no electrical incidents where the backup needed to turn on, so . . . will need to wait to comment on reliability. - Connected to the Back-UPS 1500 are an iMac with two ext HDD's, a Mac mini M2 Pro w/ 4TB of SSD, a studio monitor, and an OWC mini stack STX with a 4 TB HDD and 4 TB of SSD.
-It is all pros
The Eco mode is great for mitigating ghost power. Three peripherals can be plugged in to this section on the UPS, when units detects a power down via a USB connection, it cuts power to those 3 plugs. So, know my speakers and monitors don't draw standby power!
This is a great little battery backup that supports PFC.
Having had the BE750G and 3 BE550G UPS units, when I was in the market for another, I decided to get this BE650G1 while on sale. Even thought none of these are true sine wave UPS, I only have Corsair and Cooler Master PSU's, and they all work flawlessly with these UPS models. Try taking an active PFC PSU, connected to a non true sine wave UPS, unplug the UPS and see what happens. Most PC's will just be off, as if power was out without any UPS. With the BE models, and a corsair PSU, pulling the plug is a non issue. With the Cooler Master PSU, you can hear a slight buzz from the PSU. For a short period of time, this isn't going to harm the PSU, by short period of time I mean 15 to 20 minutes. Every active PFC PSU manufacturer's PSU will respond differently to a non true sine wave PSU, such as Antec, which will simply act as if power has been removed from the PC.
I'm using it to keep large led TV and cable box surge protected and running during blackouts until whole house generator kicks in.
Provides good power supply/protection PowerChute app provides excellent details
I've used about 15 of these so far, they have been working flawlessly so far. Used for remote location network rack equipment protection. Replaced cheapo APC brick style UPS's that had a high failure rate. The LCD is nice, it blanks after a few minutes so the bright light isn't on constantly.
Been waiting for a storm to submit a review. This unit maintained my internet connection during a Tornado Warning and subsequent power outage. I love it!
Great product for the price - Good features - Easy to set up
