- Read and ripped the latest 4K UHD Star Wars - TROS no problem. - Worked right out of the box. - Whisper quiet, especially when compared to my previous Asus standard Blu-Ray drive.

I wanted Blu-Ray on my Laptop so I ordered this drive. I get just under 19MB/s when copying from a Blu-ray Disc. Faster than the USB Blu-ray drive I was using.

Detects and reads Blu-Ray discs a whole lot faster than the drive it's replacing, very responsive. Seems to be quality build, drawer seems to have nice fluid movement when ejecting or inserting.

Pros: - Blu Ray with BD-R - MT1959 board - All software versions can be cross-patched - UHD Friendly

The WH16NS40 worked right out the box! It replaced my 2008 blue ray Lite-On DH-4B1S that lately was not reading CD companion installation drivers. Bios, Win7, and Cyberlink media software recognized right on the spot. It plays anything I throw it. Manufactured date is showing February 2017.
