This drive is just another reason that I've been a fan of LITE-ON for the past six years. I've never had a bad drive from LITE-ON, and this DVD-ROM is no exception. Not that there's a whole lot to judge a plain DVD-ROM on - basically, it either works or it doesn't - but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the drive is compared to some of my older drives. Hooray for technological progress, I guess.
