Allows the replacement of 1) DisplayPort cable and 1) USB cable with a single usb-c 4 cable in my use case. After installing the Displaylink software, it reacts as my laptop with DP Alt port. The computer I hooked it to is over ten years old. Works well so far.

Uses standard SATA and USB 2.0 header from motherboard or system Creates new eSATAp (power over eSATA port) that can directly power and run SATA devices with appropriate cable. The SATA power adapter (SATA power to floppy connector) and USB header cables are included. If your system SATA ports support AHCI, you can hot plug SATA HDD's, DVD drives, etc. There are now breakout cable available to interface this with external HDD cases using a SATA or eSATA data connector and a 12V barrel connector, as well as USB 2.0 drives. Sedna also has a front panel version, both as standard eSATA and the eSATAp type! I have several of these, and they have worked flawlessly. Great idea!

Solid build Working

Very well made and nice sleeving on the cable

- Allows for USB expansion, which is exactly what I needed. - Can be installed in a slot in your case without a PCIe slot, saving space!
