Plug and play. Worked perfectly with the PS5

1.Cost, the cost of storage has been going down over the last decade (even with the current chip shortage), 2. Western Digital is the current leader in this field 3. Ease of setup, Plug and play and forget

Love newegg for great price for the WD USD HHD so far after 2 months straight its working great. be back in a year if all goes well for long life of drive

I only use WD drives - dependable and reasonably priced. Easy to set up and use.

Stands verticle, taking up much less space; is compatible with USB 2.0; holds a ton of files; is silent running; ready to use right out of the box.

I have been using Western Digital both personally and professionally for years. Solid performance, easy to install. Wish I could say the same about crypto-mining!

easy to use, works great

Like the relatively small size and ease of installation.

- Fast transfer speeds for and HDD (~215 MB/s) - Ample space for ample libraries (Can store as much as 2,564 DVD DL or 872 single layer BD-R) - Easy Setup (Literally plug and play)

4tb WD USB 3 backup for less than $90.00 with a 3 year warranty, how can you go wrong? Yes there are other brands that may be slightly cheaper, but keep in mind this is a spinning hard drive placed inside a case so that you can plug it in. That means you want to look at the reliability history of the drives. I have been building and using computers for over 30 years, and have bought, either for me or for clients, a lot of hard drives. I have never had a problem with WD drives. I currently have two Caviar Blacks in my system, one a 640 gig, another 1 TB. Both are over nine years old and still going strong. Seagate drives on the other hand, have been nothing but trouble for me. Between DOA's and drives dying prematurely, you could not pay me to trust my data to them. I was reading one review of this drive that said it could not be used with Linux, due to WD backup software locking firmware for Windows or MAC only. I do not know how that user was trying to set up the drive. but I did not have any trouble. Plugged it in and Mint 18.3 recognized the drive. On reboot the system hung, so I disconnected the drive, rebooted and then plugged the drive back in again. Using gparted, I formatted the drive from exfat to NTFS and have not had any problems since (sorry if I got too geeky there). have since copied close to 2tb of data to the drive, without any issues. My system: (and yes, it's getting time for a new build) AMD A4-6300 Hyper 212 EVO GA-F2A85XM-D3H Samsung MV-3V4G3D DDR3-1600 16 gb ram (4x4) 240 gig OCZ Vertex 460 640 gig WD Caviar Black 1 tb WD Caviar Black 4tb WD Green (modified firmware to prevent excessing head parking) My Book 4tb USB 3 external backup Asus DVD drive Corsair Carbide Series 200R case 500 watt PS Linux Mint 18.3

Lots of storage, speed is dependable, overall good product!

Enough space to hold all of my old computers HDD's a couple times over. Fast enough to copy a 500gb hard drive over night(don't know actual time).
