The IronWolf is rated as an NAS drive. I used them in an attached external drive in Raid1 for important video content I couldnt afford to lose. I cant speak to longevity but Im confident they will meet and exceed my expectations.

Works well, runs cooler than it competitors.

- Easy Setup and quick formatting with Windows 10 - Disk speed is plenty and can handle file downloads and transfer really fast. - Great internal packaging, something I personally had not seen before. The strict compressed air inside the rubber tubes which held the HDD like a little carrying case.

Standard green 500gb SATA hard drive. It came well packaged and didnt have any problem with benchmarking it or formatting it. My overall results were an average read speed of 150 megabytes/ second and the write rate varied more depending on the file size Larger files I was able to get write speeds of near 100 megabytes/s With the smaller files it would vary more and was closer to 50 emgabytes/s which is typical of mechanical drives overall the performance is what you would expect from a mechanical green drive. Not spectacular but good enough for your average computer OS or for just storage.

Able to store my entire family's library of movies, photos, videos, files, you name it. Drives have worked well under load, are fast for our needs and have been reliable.

That's all I buy is iron Wolf. So far no problems at all and I'm haven't gone for over 5 years

I Purchased a total of 6 of these drives to set up a Synology DS1522+ NAS and so far every thing is working great. Drives arrived in perfect shape and in very little time from my order dates. Installation was a breeze and the unit is up and running perfectly as of this review.

Fast, quiet, reliable

Installed in a As1104T NAS. Installation was simple and the drive has performed well. Its quiet in Operations and, so far, has had no problems in use across the network. Newegg has been a recent "go to" for my network storage needs.

This SATA drive is priced at an excellent cost. Installation was easy. Shipping was quick. I have always had excellent experiences in doing purchasing products at Newegg. They are awesome!

Problem with the original order - drives were returned and a replacement requested. Newegg completed the RMA in quick order and shipped out the new drives. They're installed and running well. Great service!

Synology drives are guaranteed compatible and recommended for Synology enclosures.

More space than I can ever use. I've said this before, but this time I mean it. I got a little worried with all the bad reviews, but 3 months in this is holding up just fine. I bought this during the holiday deal so assumed there was a chance I got a questionable drive, but this is holding up just fine. If it didn't cost twice what I bought my first one for I'd grab another as a backup drive.
