I ordered three of these drives so far and they have worked exceptionally well on my Synology NAS (ds1823xs+). While they are being accessed, they are certainly audible, but not noisy enough to cause a problem. I have already written around 15 TBs to each drive without any issues. Two of the drives are in a raid 1 configuration for redundancy. If I ever need more capacity, I wouldn't hesitate to order two more of these.

-Easy to install -Works as expected. -No complaints

Worked out of the box. Running normally in my NAS.

Big storage for a low price Solid build

Large, relatively inexpensive, decent reviews on NewEgg

- Drives are fairly quiet compared to Seagate drives - Passed SMART tests on arrival

Fast enough in a 4-drive RAID10 setup, very clear SMART data, pretty low noise.

I upgraded my Synology NAS with these drives. They werent on Synologys compatible list, but I used them anyway. I trust the WD Red brand. Ive been using the Red brand for 10 years with no data loss. Only time will tell if these new drives hold up. They seem zippy. I got a great price from NewEgg, so I would definitely recommend them.

I purchased 4 of the Western Digital 6TB Red hard drives to put in a Synology DS415+ NAS. Each drive gives you about 5.46TB of useable space, I set them up in RAID5 for the NAS. They seem to be very quiet and run at a low temp of @28 - 30C

- Arrived very well packaged. - Performance is top notch.

Tons of space - I use OBS and a GoPro so my 1tb SSD's were not cutting it. This gives me back my boot and game drive while also giving me plenty of space for side projects and editing. Pretty quick for a spinning drive - Obviously my SSD's were faster when it comes to transferring files from one device to another or accessing preloaded folders, however it feels pretty good for being an HDD. Transferring large files only takes a few minutes which isn't a problem for me. Feels solid - I expected these drives to be a little heavier because they have way more storage space, but these things are CHUNKY. It feels like they added a solid couple pounds to my PC. Every other HDD I've held seemed light and almost flimsy.

these where my first 12 tb disk ever in my life ands im just starting into NAS storage

- Great price for a good deal of storage - Initialized quickly

Picked up four of these to upgrade my synology NAS. Wanted something large but the 16TB drives were a little pricey. On sale these were incredibly reasonable. Great value for what I paid. Good warranty.

Love the capacity - cannot wait for the future 30TB hard drives but for now this is the biggest consumer drive possible.

In very few drives it gives you a whole lot of space. Some reviews say it's loud, but I can't hear it over the slight humm of the fans on my NAS.

Good performance for 7200 RPM drives Mostly silent operation Running 24/7 in RAID 1 without issues Good value at 350USD each (you may find a different price) CMR technology, 5-year warranty

Happy with this new drive, to be used for archiving data. Peace of mind with it being built for more severe service than regular desktop drives. Thanks NewEgg!

quiet and fast
