As I said in a prior review for a WD I would recommend this drive over a comparable WD. However in some case(s) I would recommend the WD over a Seagate. It really depends on the trade off(s) and so on. The Seagate ran just a tad hotter than I would like. About 12 degree(s) over. At about 111 degree Fahrenheit. That may not seem hot but over the long term will add up. I also had it in a external docking station.

2tb at 7mm for under $100. 128m cache? Really? Absolute work horse for quick file dumps, backup jobs, etc. Quite and relatively low heat.

Very smooth. I used several Seagate drives for my data backup or in my laptop/desktop. They are very good quality.

Works good, fast and no problems

Currently selling for just under $60 which is a solid price for a 1TB laptop HDD. Speeds are respectable and as expected for a drive of this size. Packaging was simple and safe air packing, leaving no room for the drive to slide/bounce around in the box.

Very quiet, fast data transfer for only 5400rpm thanks to the large platters. Was quite simple to install. quadrupled my storage space in Ps4.

Big capacity and cheap product

This harddisk is the best fit for the Lenovo ideapad 330S-15ARR. Works great and fits with no problems. Had to find a hard disk that would fit in the slot and not be to thick for the case and this one fit perfect.

I replaced an old SATA drive 160GB of a laptop with this one and so far is working fine. Based on my couple of months experience with the drive, I would recommend it.

Overall the only real improvement from the previous HDD is the increased sectors and clusters on the 1TB Diskettes, when I imaged my smaller hard drive with the C:// drive and Recovery partition worked swell (After many hours of wait) and I had my new drive with Windows 7 Home Premium all my partitions (HP tools and Microsoft Office click-to-run) as well as my files and desktop icons transferred seamlessly.

Good size storage great fit for my laptop

-The drive is virtually silent. -Boot up and shut down speeds have improved dramatically. In fact, they went from nearly 2 minutes to just over 30 seconds with the same software installed. -Applications open within a second or two compared to 10-15. - Battery life hasn't changed any, but I don't use a Mac.

This is a nice 1TB enterprise Seagate drive in a 2.5" form factor. I'm running this drive in a workstation. It came with a 5 year warranty. (Please note, this most likely will not fit in a laptop, if that is what you are seeking to do. It is much taller than a typical laptop drive.) So far, I'm very happy with it.,

cheap so far it works fine

No complaints still working after a year. Fast, very low power requirement in external enclosure. Does not need 2nd power connections. Works great.

These are solid 2.5in HDD's. For some people these would be a great choice to use in a NAS. As marketed, they are appropriate for someone in a small office or at home. The performance is good including in RAID. I ran multiple instances of a benchmarks to simulate multiple people using it heavily. It had solid sustained read and write speed including when doing multiple read at the same time or reading and writing simultaneously. Reading in just a single instance it go 110MB/s with very little variation. Reading two files at once the speed was cut exactly in half to 52MB/s. Writing and read+write did scale quite as well but still scalled well. If you want to use a couple of these in a media server with a few people streaming from it, these drives will do the job. They are compact, and low power. Being low power is a definite benefit since these are meant to be used 24/7. Being 2.5in is nice but considering the NAS bay you have is likely going to be designed for 3.5in, you won't be saving space obviosuly. Very quiet and little vibration. 3-year warranty is a nice plus. High number of compatible NAS bays. They are supposed to be able to finish writes if they detect loss of power.
