Faster than the one it replaces.

As I said in a prior review for a WD I would recommend this drive over a comparable WD. However in some case(s) I would recommend the WD over a Seagate. It really depends on the trade off(s) and so on. The Seagate ran just a tad hotter than I would like. About 12 degree(s) over. At about 111 degree Fahrenheit. That may not seem hot but over the long term will add up. I also had it in a external docking station.

Two drives work well as RAID drive for Steam games and backups RAID drive writes at 280MB/s from an SSD (copying large files) Quiet/silent, which is exactly why I ordered these instead of desktop drives (tend to be noisier)

Even though its thinner than the orig drive the bracket took care of that and it lined up exactly. Loaded windows 7 then the drivers and it works fast and no issues.

inexpensive with a reasonable warranty. I use these as archive drives or auxiliary data storage, so speed is not essential.

Everything!! I ordered an SSA drive in error. I wanted an SATA. I contacted E.O.L. Tech and explained. They immediately sent me what I really wanted and trusted I would return the one I bought (which I did). The replacement was done at no charge. People list this are very few and far between.

Very good price per GB for the 2.5" form factor compared to other drives on the market. Drive was shipped in a very solid yet impact absorbing air pack to prevent any damage. The drive height is very thin at 7mm and very light compared to my 7 year old 2.5" seagate drive. The drive is also very quiet compared to my older drive, its almost silent to the point I don't even know if its on or not. I used this drive as an external USB drive using a 2.5" USB enclosure. I did have to format, partition, and initialize the drive first in Windows Disk Management before the device would show up in Explorer. After that it was simple plug and play for the drive now. Writing to the drive I got an an average of about 22MB/s for a 3GB file. Read speed was about 31MB/s. This was done on the USB 2.0 standard, so USB 3.0 should be alot better.

Near instant speed boost. A 1TB disk with 32G of SSD where the drive automatically puts your most frequently read stuff. After your 4th reboot, you'll notice boots are much faster and the programs you launch are extremely responsive

Low power, good size cache, small form factor. Quiet with low heat...

+ Black performance . . . ? + Black quality + Obviously smaller size + These are perfect for the Thermaltake Core P3/5 case if you want the drives visible

Plenty of storage, runs fast, easy install

Very quiet; Almost silent. Lowest power usage in a platter-type NAS drive I know of. If you're looking for best power efficiency from a NAS drive, this is it. This Watts per Gigabyte is currently unbeatable. Perfectly fast for gigabit LAN usage. Works fine with my Qnap TS-419P+ in single drive, RAID 0 and RAID 1.

This drive is great. The speed increase on everything from boot times to applications opening, very noticeable compared to a standard 7200R RPM drive on my Lenovo T430. 3 year waranty

came in like a baby snuggled in a blanket. (very secure in the box)

Able to replace Dell ST9146853SS in RAID array with no issues

This is a nice 1TB enterprise Seagate drive in a 2.5" form factor. I'm running this drive in a workstation. It came with a 5 year warranty. (Please note, this most likely will not fit in a laptop, if that is what you are seeking to do. It is much taller than a typical laptop drive.) So far, I'm very happy with it.,

Works as advertised. Not sure on the transfer rate but reaction time is normal for a HDD. Used in a Toshiba laptop. Had to turn off the EUFI BIOS to legacy in order to install windows 7.
