I am using this with ORICO M.2 PCIe M Key to 6 x SATA 6Gbps Adapter Card for Desktop PC Support RAID-PM2TS6 and it worked as expected.

This is an item to keep in your computer build toolbox. I bought a couple. Needed only one. But, I am good with having another for my next build or problem.

This Syba adapter is well made and the inclusion of a slot bracket is nice. The jumpers are easy to use and the LEDs provide a clear indication of what is going on when you need to know. For anyone who is wondering whether or not this adapter supports DMA operation, it does if your CF card does. Cheap CF cards do not. A review of the pinouts for both connectors and testing with an ohmmeter confirms that DMA read, write and request are hooked up. In any case, this adater is completely passive and makes no "decision" on what your CF card can do when placed into the slot. I bought this along with a CF card from Newegg to use it as a startup device in a FreeNAS system. It did not work for that purpose (see explanation below under "other thoughts") but is working fine on another motherboard that I will be building into another FreeNAS system.

Thing just works

It's pretty straight forward, plug and play type of external device.

I used this 5.25" drive bay panel/converter to add 2 USB 3.0 ports to the front of an old computer case that didn't have any USB ports. I was able to easily connect the cable of the converter bracket to the USB 3 connector on my new motherboard. As a bonus, I was able to utilize the 2.5" drive bracket mount in the middle of the converter bracket for my SSD. The quality and fit was pretty good and the USB 3.0 ports worked perfectly. I was happy to be able to make use of the useless 5.25" drive bay on my computer case.

Pretty strong plastic and would take considerable pressure to break it unintentionally. Came with screws Well packaged for shipping mine is completely intact, made the journey well.

I have been using the CF adapter in a small Linux computer for a while. It is 100% silent and gives me no issues, although for some reason my motherboard doesn't blink the HDD activity light when using the card (but the LED on this board does blink just fine).
