USB3 hub, works as well as you could hope. Build quality is solid, and there's no difference in speed between plugging into the hub and plugging straight into the motherboard. Admittedly, I'm not plugging a bunch of external SSDs to do a real stress test, but I have a USB3 4TB WD external drive and several USB3 thumb drives, and saw no speed degredation simultaneously dumping a 4GB file to all of them.

Need a new hub to replace my old USB 3.0 hub that won't work with my wife's new C-Type connector phone. This one gives me all the ports I need like 3 USBs for my music production MIDI and video editing SD drive slot. Thoughtfully designed by putting the HDMI-Out on the end, instead of awkwardly in the middle as I have seen with other devices. The brushed metal will go well with the Apple laptop or desktop I get as invariably, there just aren't that many ports.
