- Comes with 2 USB type A male to type B male cables (59 in. long). - Comes with 2 HDMI cables (46.5 in. long).
Easy to set up, works great with my work laptop and gaming PC.
I almost didn't buy this because it had four buttons in a 2x2 grid when I wanted four buttons in a line. But this has a wired remote that has four buttons in a row. One of the photos shows it but it's very easy to miss when you are skimming through product listings. So you can put the box with all wires off to the back and put the wired remote right next to your keyboard. Very slick. It has good quality hardware (unlike some other budget KVM switches). I was worried this was going to be disappointing but it's the opposite: a very nice surprise.
- Simple setup - No auxiliary power needed. It uses the power from the USB computer input - Simple to use. You just press the button - USB 3.0 (it's hard to find these multiplexers in USB form)
I've been using my TrippLite VGA KVM for years and have endured a really bad picture for a long time. Finally, I ditched all my VGA cables and dongles after realizing that almost every machine I use regularly comes with HDMI, and this little universal (model HK401, no brand name at all) arrived today.
Works great, right side of desk now clear, using wireless KB & mouse, both laptops now on single laptop stand, eliminated 20" monitor, monitor stand, keyboard & mouse.
I use this device to switch between my work computer and my pc, and it works extremely well. I have two monitors and each are plugged into both computers, so I dont use it for the monitors (or know if thats even possible) but just for my mouse, keyboard and camera. And it works great! So much easier than unplugging my mouse and keyboard each time. And was extremely easy to set up and figure out.
Great response. Works excellently for my purposes for the MOST part. For the money, it's flawless!
Nice steel case Small, but enough weight to hold it in place Sound comes though the speakers when selected, to the HDMI monitor with sound built in!!
I share keyboard, mouse, space pilot and flash drive between 3 different computers. I have had zero problems with this USB switch unlike my experiences with some other ones. The remote button keeps the clutter off of the desk and allows for quick switching between systems. An unintended benefit is the use of a USB flash drive for file sharing. It is much simpler, quicker and safer than the alternatives.
- Comes with 4 USB type A male to type B male cables.
Using with a wireless keyboard/mouse setup only using 1 port and this this beats my old one hands down. Unit is worth every penny.
