The ADC BR1500MS UPS has been working great so far. I'm protecting audio equipment, some of it being tube amplifiers. When I killed power to the entire rack as a test, the ADC UPS took over seamlessly. This allows me to do a graceful shutdown of the components. My audio gear is now protected from the abrupt off/on/off power outages that occur a few times a year. I keep the display on to monitor voltage just because I'm curious. It was very easy to set up with the directions being clear. After connecting to my computer and downloading the software I was able to configure the BR1500MS to my liking. It was simple and straightforward. A surprise bonus is that it will charge phones from the battery during power outages. Without too much detail, I had the pleasure of working with NewEgg's Customer service a couple of times. On both occasion's the staff understood the issue well, took care of my situation, and executed a resolution exactly as I was told it would be! It was fantastic! Real, honest-to-goodness Customer Service. And very pleasant I must add. I will now come to NewEgg first before the other well known online retailer's. And for me, if an item is a little bit more money, that may be because humans are employed at NewEgg, and they deserve more than robots.

You can absolutely never go wrong with Tripp Lite. This is no exception to that statement. Solid construction, excellent price, and it just works. Looking forward to getting everything in the test rack hooked up to it!

I replaced the battery in one of my several APC UPS units. This particular unit is several years old (5+). It has been my experience that APC replacement batteries last longer than others brands.

Length: it's shorter than others so it will mount fine in 2 post racks using included heavy-duty mounting brackets. Price: excellent value for your dollar. Tons of features you would not expect for a device under $1000. Quiet: does not make a horrible racket like other UPS in its class. Just a periodic chirp and light fan sound. Powerful: 20A means you can put more load on it and it will charge faster.
