Plug 'n' play with 3rd party external enclosure I can't believe how far we've come in just the last 2-3 years in regards to availability, speeds, and reliability, plus even accessibility which makes it just the best recommendable upgrade anyone can do, whether it be for an older laptop needing a boost to speeds, or even as an addition to a gaming system as a 2ndary drive. I'm, however, using this as a nice everyday-carry item where I put all my larger files which transfer extremely fast, and batches of smaller files which transfer completely before you even have a chance to look down twice at your keyboard. Was easy to install on my ASUS ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi II motherboard and to get Windows 11 installed. My games load a lot faster and work better than before (no lag/stuttering when progressing through levels, etc.). Was easy to update firmware and has plenty of room.

These Samsung drives are so solid. For years I have trusted Samsung for my storage needs, and Samsung has never let me down. These drives are becoming outdated as HVME drives are taking over; however, 4 TBs of SATA storage is still great to have. This will hold my steam library for a while. This drive will probably have a place in my gaming computers for years to come.

No other place site ect had this cheaper. New egg seems to always have the better deals .

Great form factor, incredibly easy to install (just push it in like a USB stick), more actual storage space than the XSX hard drive (902GB usable vs. 802GB on the internal), doesn't suffer from intermittent connection issues like external hard drives/ssd's

I haven't found anything that would suggest that this is a bad product. It was easy to install and is running smoothly.

This 4th gen nvme drive from Crucial claims just over 7000MBps reads and let me tell you, it delivers on that. Same with 6000MBps writes. Construction is solid. The heatsink is big and keeps the drive running cool after hours of gaming. Coming from a slightly older nvme drive that's only 10-20% slower than this one the overall performance is hard to notice unless you're literally keeping a stopwatch to it. For example, loading a saved game from Red Dead Redemption 2 that took 38.6 seconds on my old drive took 35.4 with this one. So it won't be a huge game changer unless you're coming from a gen3 or older model.

It EASILY hits the speeds advertised. doesnt run too hot (with standard thermal pad that comes with X870 Tuf Gaming it was hitting at most 32 Celsius) Cheap

The WD BLACK SN850X 4TB w Heatsink drive is excellent as a fast (6960 MB/s R, 6560 MB/s Wr, in my system) PC boot drive as well as for an additional DDR4 storage drive. My PC boot time is now ~15 seconds faster than the original slug SSD. Snappy general use too.
