Easy to use. Fast. And it just works. Reasonable price.
• Sale price of $24.99 with no rebate is on par with other switches in this consumer range • Piece of cake to setup – plug and play, up and running immediately • Good packaging, not a lot of fluff and wasted space. So many small pieces of network gear come in these giant packages, but not this one • Easily identifiable 24/7 support sticker on the front of the box. When I see something like that – it tells me the company WANTS to help you. So many other companies make it an act of congress to get a hold of them. I’ve owned three TP-Link routers, and a pair of their switches – they all have that 24/7 support sticker • TP-Link regularly responds to issues brought forth in Newegg reviews. Once again, that tells me that the company cares about the consumer experience, and stands by their product lines • Very sturdy – looks and feels like a miniature piece of pro gear • Does not get hot when all 4 channels are downloading from various sources, even in a hot (80* Fahrenheit) room. This switch barely gets warm. I cracked the case open on it, and there’s a nice-sized aluminum heat sink taking care of cooling duties – very nice • Despite its small footprint, does not tip or feel unstable with all five CAT cables connected to it • Performance is solid, like any switch in this category range. Speeds were comparable to running a CAT cable right off the gigabit router it was connected to, and also compared favorably to running the CAT cable right off the modem itself
Simple setup. Great speeds. Fast delivery.
Well constructed, high quality components, low power use, runs cool, is reliable, and fast. I had a bad experience with tp-link in the past, but this really changed my mind about it. The unit is sturdy and solid on the outside, and it runs as well as it is built. I would say this is as good as or better than similar netgear or dlink swithes.
Verry small Feel durable Metallic
Made in Vietnam with a Chinese power supply. The box runs cool and has a power led and a link led for each port. They shine through a 1 mm hole and are fairly visible. The switch performs very well. The says it supports 16K jumbo frames.
* Nice compact form factor * Included power adapter option is nice * Even nicer is being able to power it off PoE - one less wire/plug socket to deal with * Integrates well with the UniFi Network app, showing what devices are connected to it
Love this switch
UniFi compatible and suited to the kinds of awful environmental conditions the old Ubiquiti Tough Switch Pro was perfect for. Being managed by UniFi rather than UISP simplifies the network, so it's GREAT to have this niche filled. Surprisingly useful to have more ports, didn't know we needed them until we had the option.
-Whisper quite -Many Features -Web GUI or phone app to manage it -You have to know what your doing or at least read the manual.
Great switch and does all I need it to do.
Fast, well constructed, easy to use, just like any other quality switch I have owned (I have at least 6 1G ones in my house). Hopefully the power plug holds up, that's really the only weak point on the 1G switches.
Works as advertised and had no issues with autonegotiating speeds on interfaces with Google Fiber's provided equipment (an issue I had read about in reviews for other boxes which I was concerned about). Get full speed.
Worked out of the box. Very fast. My ups shows power usage at 0% when using 10 ports, so it does seem to be green. People said there was a loud fan issue, well mine does not have a fan at all and I got mine Jan 18. Its cool to the touch unlike some smaller switch's I have would be under its current load, so my guess is it did not need one so there was a change.
Small footprint for stack installation. LEDs are not obstructed by patch cables. Runs cool.
No setup, just connect all device and ... that`s it!
